I haven't modded Halo CE for a while and I've re-installed the HEK and all of my tags but when I open Sapien and try to open a10 it says...

What have I done wrong? Are my files corrupt or something? If you could help I'd be very happy.

When you were ripping a10 you probably checked recursive and overwrite existing tags. HEK+ doesn't have perfect, flawless extraction, so it can corrupt tags when it extracts them.

If you didn't make a backup of your tags folder before using HEK+, you need to delete that folder and reinstall the HEK to get a fresh set of tags. Then you can use HEK+ again, making sure to not check overwrite.

Ok, here's exactally what I did. I deleted my tags folder and re-installed HEK. Then I ripped a10 into Halo Custom Edition/ tags without having overwrite checked and then put the scenario files into the a10 level folder and when I tried to open it with sapien it crashed again and the debug file says the exact same thing.
Could I be putting the Scenario Tags in the wrong folder?

Hold on, I want to make sure you are properly extracting the files.

In HEK+, the only thing you should have checked is the scenario file, and you should have recursive enabled. Make sure your tags directory in HEK+ is set to your Halo CE tags folder. When you hit extract, the files will all go into their proper folders and retain their proper folder structures.

I just need to check, because it sounds like you are moving the scenario file, and you shouldn't be touching ANYTHING.

It's set to the tags folder in CE. Recursive, where's that at? Dang I feel stupid.

First open a10 in HEK+. Next, expand the tree view on the left to find levels\a10\a10.scenario. Right click on a10.scenario and click "add to extraction queue". Now in the "Tag Extraction Queue" you should see only one tag, and there should be a checkbox next to it. Make sure it's checked, because that means it will recursively extract the tags.

I don't know if this is what you were doing, but when you said that you "put the scenario files into the a10 folder," I became suspicious. This will make sure all tags go where they belong, and your tags folder will have all the files in it you see in HEK+.

Yes, that's what I've been doing. I don't really know why it has been doing this. But it still is. Thanks for taking your time to help.

I get that error too, the only campaign map I can actually open is Silent Cartographer. So try extracting and opening that one.

Yeah, it let me open Silent Cartographer. That's BS.:maddowns:

I had this once, but never was able to solve it. Try getting clean a10 tags from someone? You can also make a copy of the a10 scenario and strip things out of it bit by bit until you get it to load to find the problem.

Hey, I've allready updated my install of Halo to 1.09. Mabe the patch makes it incompatable with Sapien? I'll test out my theory.
