View Full Version : Can't seem to connect to/see any servers on H2V. Help?

So I accidentally bought this game again after losing it and, as expected, it's being buggy and inconsistent. For the first few time I ran it, it was able to see and connect to servers fine; now, suddenly, it won't. It either gets stuck at the "looking for servers" window or simply says, "no servers available". I know I've seen this problem before, but searching with a variety of keywords didn't come up with anything useful.

Any suggestions?

Apparently the update to GFWL has made Halo 2's game browser a bit buggy. There are a few posts about it in the Halo 1 & 2 PC forum (http://www.bungie.net/Forums/topics.aspx?forumID=2) on Bnet.

Well it does eat some RAM, but I was curious how dependent running H2V (in the background) is on your video card.

That's hardly a solution. If it needs to run all the time, what is the point?

Halo 2 No browserlist Possible solution - GFW Forum (http://forums.gamesforwindows.com/t/9786.aspx)solution is, update H2V, and have the game browser hosted by Live itself. =D

...and release source code.

I had to wait a whole hour just to connect. >:(

I played the first level of the campaign.

Joined a game at coag

Was called an aimbotter (after killing one), was pretty laggy, not worth it, quit!

I hate Halo 2 online.

It takes some getting used to (at least it did for me), but once I figured out the lag time and everything, I was having fun.
