Honestly, I don't take the names. Millions upon millions of engineers have died, so it couldn't be the same engineer, and even if you're following canon, there are two engineers. Are they both named Dell Conagher?

They didn't really, or at least not immediately. I crafted some scrap into reclaimed, and reclaimed into refined after reading that.

By craft reclaimed and refined, they mean that they disabled the feature that let you craft a refined metal into 3 reclaimed metals, and a reclaimed metal into 3 scrap metals. That would have been abused.

So there's a 3-second window of opportunity for sapping/destroying after killing the Engineer, provided it's under control.

I wonder what the field of vision is on The Wrangler, and how fast it turns. I also wonder how far away you can be from the Sentry while still using it. It sounds like a great trade-off for selective spy-checks and high-value-target focusing, at the cost of having an exposed backside.

I guess it also requires you to leave your sentry temporarily vulnerable when switching out to reload it, unless you form a system of having two Sentries and two Engineers, one controlling his Sentry, while the other manages the ammo for both. You can still do that, right? Reload a team-mate's Sentry? Or was that just upgrading them?

The wrangler is a cool idea but I do not like the huge health bonus to the sentry. That's going to be a pain in the ass.

it distracts the engineer and immobilizes the sentry for 3 seconds while the engineer is controlling it. It will also cause sentries to burn through ammo much faster. A solo engineer will be very vulnerable to spy attacks, methinks. However all other means of destroying the sentry will be much less effective.

wtf valve, lots of lincoln references.

my best guess, lincoln never died, and he is still the existing pyro. They built a not dieing machine the day he was killed, but in this image, they have a rig that flipped him away from danger and away from boothe. This would explain why the pyro has a tank on his back, or even why his suit is so big.

Regardless, I want a top hat with a gun hidden in it.

Battle engie doesn't get enough credit. He's very effective if used properly. I'm glad valve is recognizing that and enhancing him further.

I was coming to post an image of the movable sentries but someone beat me to it. As it turns out, I am now posting to agree with ICEE. Battle Engie never got enough credit and valve is trying to get the class to move around more. Changing the engie changes the game a lot but I think valve is doing a good thing by making them a more mobile class. Valve hates turtling.

Sometimes when I play engie, i'll leave my sentry at level 1 so its not as much of an investment. Then I'll support it with my shotgun, and when someone takes it down, I just put it up in another spot. Its nice to keep people guessing. Really though, this only works with gametypes such as CTF or KOTH, where you can pretty much guess where people are going to go and when.

I love that they removed the item cap until the update comes out. I've gotten like 20 items from idle'n in my own LAN server and I got Ze Goggles in a random drop.

I think the Gunslinger is (once again) catering to Battul Engie. The idea is to have the Mini-Sentry deploy on the front lines and damage the incoming team, possibly getting destroyed in the process and granting the Engie crits with his shotgun.
While I agree that this is probably one of the dumber weapons, I'm not making judgments until the update releases.

You can make a level 3 mini-sentry by building and upgrading a normal sentry, then switching to the robo-hand (whatever) and picking it up. When you set it down it becomes an adorable little level 3 with stupid accuracy and rate of fire and ROCKETS.

I also got that community wrench from a random drop, so I have all of the Engy items already.

Just unlock the engie milestones (don't tick every achievement unless you want to draw valve's attention), press the little antenna button in the top right, then launch TF2 and die in a game. You might need to restart steam if you're not getting the drops after a few attempts.

Yes -- most women do it because they feel compelled to -- but some women who do it do it because they want to. Very off topic of course... but it depends... it always depends.

It's also not disrespectful if 1) the receiver isn't disrespectful and 2) the giver doesn't consciously consider it a disrespectful act (and if there are other parties involved... there's a whole new set of criteria.)

BTW: Even now that I have all the engie's weapons, I still find myself using his classic gear, along with the southern hospitality. The new stuff is cool, but none of it really changed my strategy. I'll occasionally use the mini sentries though

Its superior to the sniper rifle for mid range in every situation except running from pyros. its quick charge makes it excellent for taking down heavies. Plus if you know shit about the map your on, its easy to put the shot directly on the spot your target will be at the time of impact. It's a nod to the epic pros who were sniping in the age before netcode (Halo ce).

Pyros definitely aren't given enough credit. Sure they're heavy on the nerf spectrum... but a good pyro can wreck absolute hell in many situations.

I think if valve incorporated a flamethrower that allowed airburst jumping (coupled with some negative effect im sure), pyro's could really expand their field of use. It wouldn't even need to be as high as soldier's rocket jump.

I always wondered why that wasn't possible to begin with. If they did Airburst Jumping + Subtract 20 health it would be balanced and awesome.

Doesn't work that way. You send valve a textured model and they decide how it fits into gameplay. They may take your suggestions, but those suggestions really don't mean more than a suggestion that isn't coupled with a model.

If they did incorporate something like that though, it would totally give me more reason to show off my whiskered gentlemen.
