Anyone play this? I'm slowly gaining interest, it's the only DotA style game I've really enjoyed besides Demigod.

I've never even heard of it. I can't wait till games are just like their cgi intro's.

Most of the games these days really do look like that. That one was just a budget intro.

"Most games" meaning Crysis and Age of Conan are the only two that I might give that to... Unless you're referring to game trailers taking place using the games rendering engine, which isn't what he was referring to.

This game is free to play, you guys should check it out.

Looks like just another RPG.

And by that I mean unbelievably generic.

It's the evolution of DotA, created by the developers of DotA and some Warcraft 3 developers.

A group of my friends wants me to play this with them. I'm not sure it's my type of game, though. They likened it to one of those Starcraft Use Map Settings maps I've played where you get to be a single unit with special abilities and such.

Got addicted to Dota for a while last year, then playing the HoN open beta till it finished. They're pretty fun games but they take up way too much time. I don't like not being able to quit at any time (I know you can but you're a dick if you ragequit mid-game).

Basically this. Dota has such a large learning curve though that it just wasn't fun as people knew in 10 seconds that you were a noob.

Tried it, hated it.

That said, I hate all Dota games but I remain optimistic that I may one day figure out what's meant to be fun about this sub-genre :ugh:
