Post your desktop for this month.
I like to have a clean desktop without any clutter at all.

I have all of the programs I use in my taskbar and use the desktop as a working space. All the files I'm currently working with in a project just get saved to the desktop. Once I start work on something else or finish a project all the files get moved to a folder in my "My Creations" folder and then copied to my external drive.

Y'see, I can't stand having my task bar absolutely filled with icons I prefer to have 3 icons max, where as the desktop background is only one line of icons unlike some people who won't be named who have their entire background covered sometimes having huge RAR files there.
As for the my works folders, I've got a set up on the second drive purely for what i've created ranging from 3ds max and photoshop, I also store the tutorials I've found there.

It more effective when you have a widescreen monitor. Taskbar is only half filled, leaving room for more apps and all of the pinned icons are of the same style

Also, I formatted a few days ago and want to try a better rainmeter skin than omnimo. All I want want is an RSS reader and weather forecasts

Anyone know how to stop rainmeter skins from moving all over the place when I go in/out of games? I'm using two monitors now which seems to make it worse.

Right click the skin(s) > Skin Menu > Save Position?

Does it happen when you switch between fullscreen games to desktop? (Might be because the game resolution != desktop resolution).

I run games at native resolution, but I didn't have this problem prior to using the second monitor. It must have something to do with when the game launches and selects a monitor. Basically whenever the monitors go black for an instant (like detecting at startup, launching a game) the skins move.

That's weird, none of my skins move when I launch a game. Are the skins on the same monitor as the one that's playing the game?

Have you updated to the newer rainmeter? The last version didn't have proper multi monitor support

this is on a good day, lol. i usually keep all my shortcuts in rocketdock, and i download shit to the desktop. usually anything im working on at the time stays on the desktop too. when windows puts a scrollbar at the bottom of the screen, thats when i start dropping files in the folder symbolically titled "GTFO". last i checked, GTFO contains over 7.4 GB.

Usually I just save stuff into the appropriate folder in Saved(surrogate My Docs folder, 60GB, 40,000 files, 1,200 folders). If I can't save as, it goes on the desktop until the download's done.

also i need to find an icon pack that fits more with this wallpaper. minimalist icon packs are surprisingly hard to find.

Well for one, Windows 7 Basic doesn't support transparency. Chose another theme under personalization, and you'll be able to use transparency.
