How much of this can I get rid of without messing up Flash, Photoshop and PDF viewer (I view PDF's in firefox so I don't think I need acrobat installed).

Thats all supposed to be there, but the only reason you can see it is because you dont have have a suite, just photoshop. Otherwise it'd all be under one name.

I doubt its taking up that much space. Just disable the startup programs if you don't need them.

My god you need to turn on Cleartype text or something.

Clean up registry...performance boost of 1%. Why don't you get yourself a RAM Cleaner while you are at it? It's just a bunch of bullshit the companies advertise with.

uninstalling programs will not clean your registry. having extra programs installed will not have a deleterious effect on your computer.

>_>
In the past the amount of programs installed had a major effect on my system performance. So I've always made it a habit to uninstall everything I don't need.
<_<
Anyways I'm cleaning up my entire system right now and doing a nice 60gb backup of files and stuff. Currently running a defragment on all my hard drives.

get rid of adobe reader because it's literally the most bloated thing ever and also needs reinstalling every week because of security holes gross. Use SumatraPDF (http://blog.kowalczyk.info/software/sumatrapdf/index.html) (doesn't have a firefox plugin but launches so fast you'll not need one) or Foxit (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/addons.php) (has a plugin, nearly as fast as sumatra, remember to unchek the toolbar during install)
