Should I jailbreak my iPhone 4 or hold off? Kind of tempted but am a little unsure of it as well.

Jailbreak it, definitely. There's so much more you can do with a jailbroken iPod/iPhone and it's completely safe. In plus, if it doesn't work, then you can just restore it, no?

Well I gave in and jailbroke it (thanks for the tips masters). Besides themes, anything you guys think I should get?
Already enjoying pokemon red on it haha.

There's this cool app called Air Mouse Pro that lets you use your ipod/iphone as a mouse and keyboard for your computer through the network. Though, you also need to download Mobile Mouse Server on your computer for it to work. I would also recommend getting an app off Cydia called Categories, since it allows you to make many folders on your ipod/iphone (similar to what iOS4 has, but better). Oh, and my favourite thing is SBSettings, which is a really cool little gadget that you get off of Cydia. When you have it, all you need to do is swipe your finger across the black bar at the top of the screen (the one that shows the time and battery life) and then a little menu pops up that lets you turn on/off Wi-fi, bluetooth, 3G, let's you change the brightness, lets you free up memory by closing processes in a similar way as the Windows Task Manager, as well as a few other really cool things. That's all I have for the moment, but I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

I disabled iOS multitasking since it drains my battery like a beezy.

Definitely do it. Get these packages:
Backgrounder (because the iOS backgrounding is a joke and now backgrounder can use the iOS appswitcher)
BiteSMS (many uses like quick reply, which pops up texts over running apps so no reason to close apps like games or maps. It also has many more settings than the original texting app. Can be configured to completely take over as the default texting app)
CyDelete (so you dont have to go to Cydia to delete a package from Cydia)
Cyntact (It adds nice little pictures in your contacts so that you can find people easier)
Infinidock (Makes your dock infinite and it even scales the icons so they can all fit or you can make it scroll like pages on the springboard)
Flashlight (Jailbroken one, not AppStore one. Much brighter)
Frash (Via BENM.at Packages. Lets you use flash.)
iFile (Mobile Finder)
Infinifolders (Breaks the 12 app limit for folders, thus making them useful)
Installous (yes I said it. I like to try before I buy. It allows you to download cracked apps but I do not endorse piracy, merely gives every app a free trial)
MobileVolumeSound (Not truly necessary but when you change your volume it makes the Mac OS click noise so you know how loud it is.)
MultiIconMover (allows you to move multiple icons around the SB)
Native Tap to Unlock (Tapping to unlock is much better than sliding)
Notifier (Adds status bar notifications at the top of the Phone)
PrivaCy (Blocks some anonymous data collection (?))
PwnTunes (Fantastic Application! I love it. Eliminates the use of iTunes by making the iPhone a drag and drop style mp3 player instead of needing to sync.)
Remove Recents (takes the recently used apps out of the iOS app switcher)
Safari Download Plug-In (Download items on the iPhone)
SBSettings (quickly access settings on any screen that are usually hidden amongst pages and pages of apps)
Shrink (I like to shrink my Icons to give myself a little room. I shrink them to about 75% normal size)
Winterboard (Themes)
3G Unrestrictor (Make any app work over 3G)
MyWi 4.0 (Make your phone produce a wifi signal. Its how I use my iPad anywhere without paying for another cell phone bill)
And as for app store apps:
NewsRack (Great little RSS reader)
Siri (Great free app for finding things)
iCabMobile (great safari replacement and is even greater for the iPad)
AirVideo (stream all your movies from your computer to your phone/ipad)
TuneIn Radio (Best radio app. Has all local stations.)

PwnTunes! That's the application I was looking for. Yea another one I really want to add is Infinifolders, real dumb that Apple made it 12 apps only. Thanks for the list Heathen, that's awesome.

Too bad a couple of them require you to pay, otherwise I would have downloaded them in a heart beat. I did find something called iRealSMS 3.0 which I really like a lot so far. Might consider actually paying for it if I continue to like it.

I think apple has put a thing through the guys that oversee patents so they'll be able to brick your phone if you jailbreak it.
Smooth move apple.

If implemented, it will be stopped by the jailbreak community before its a threat and apple knows so, so I doubt they would spend money on this little endeavor.
