how about you try plugging in your controller into your computer, then plugging your headset into your controller, and see what happens?

would be pointless due to the fact that i dont have a live game in which voice chat is used. i'm probably going to find out on may 22 when i get H2V! so i need someone to tell me cause otherwise i'm gonna sell it to someone who renews their Xbox Live Subscription.

GOD!! trust me, it works. once you plug the thing it, windows will recognize it and install the driver for it. then you can adjust microphone and speaker settings

According to the Microsoft site the headset should be compatible with with your PC, and should work with H2V.

Cross-Platform Wireless Accessories
Microsoft is expanding its wireless line of Xbox 360 cross-platform game peripherals to the Windows platform with the introduction of the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows. Gamers will be able to use the Universal Serial Bus (USB) wireless receiver with Windows XP- or Windows Vista-based computers to enjoy racing games, sports games and other titles that work best with the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, Xbox 360 Wireless Headset and Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel. Today’s announcements follow the release of the company’s first cross-platform controller: the wired Xbox 360 Controller for Windows that shipped in fall 2005.

I know it says wireless, but if wireless works why shouldn't wired.
