First of all, Dope Wars is abandon ware so don't whine or bitch about keygen talk.

Does anyone have a working keygen for Dope Wars? All the shit that's been posted that I've found generates invalid keys. Hell, there's even a youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_c8jtJCTxI) that has links to the installer and keygen but they aren't working...

They use to sell the game for 5$. If they didn't abandon the damn thing I would have shelled out the few bucks to get a valid key. But no. They wanted to just drop it like it's hot. They could have at least released the source.

Also you can find a keygen for just about anything at www.keygen.ms but it's a huge malware site so be sure to have your NOD32 primed and ready for combat.

I didn't want generic keygen site links as that's open to interpretation :\. You can't buy a license key for Dope wars anymore nor can you even download it (expect from user posted spots). Thanks for that link annilhilation. Waiting for the 69b of text to transfer lol.

e: key didn't work with the install I used earlier :|. Trying the installer from the torrent... (they should both be v2200)

OK, so after getting yet another key from someone and having it yet again not work I decided to test a sneaking suspicion of mine: Compatibility. I changed Dope Wars.exe to run for XP-SP3. I ran it (after a prompt from UAC) and it worked. Either it wasn't working earlier due to it not being able to write to the registry or because it NEEDS to run under XP mode.

In either case, I found me a game to hold me over until Reach comes out :trollface:

Downloaded the game to unpack it but when it started installing Ad-Ware I stopped. PC-Guard 4.03-4.15 if PeID was correct. Have fun Korn

AVG stops it from installing the GAIN crap in its tracks. There's guides on how to remove the adware crap in case you don't have a proactive blocker.
