View Full Version : Day[9] challanges - Funday Monday

My roommate started watching this guy on Youtube and he always puts up a good show. Lately he's been putting up these challenges where you have weird restrictions put on you where you have to win... while playing some sort of broken ladder game.

Today's challenge was to create only ONE unit type (aside from SCVs, Probes, Drones, Overseers, Queens, and observers) in a 3V3 or a 4V4 match, where EVERYONE ON YOUR TEAM has to announce what ONE unit they're creating for the entire match. Last night my roommates and I went Raven, Ghost, Tank for a few matches and actually were able to win a few haha.

Last week his challenge was that Terran can't make any marines, maruders, or tanks.... which... ends up making for some extremely interesting matches.

basically, he's a p cool guy

i actually do the no wueen build a fair bit anyway.
because while queens are awesome, unless your macro is spot on or your doing massive unit dumps (shouldn't really do these tbh, your money should be too low) then you always have extra lavae on hand, easier on the micro.

Psh, you guys forgot to announce what units you're creating. still nice game though haha.

Also, tell your friend Mattarack or whatever that you can disable the windows key thing in the options under the gameplay tab... "Disable OS Keyboard Shortcuts."

I dunno if that kills the ability to alt tab or not (I'm on a mac), so if you wanna switch apps just hit control+M and it'll hop SC2 into windowed mode.

Of course, he announces it every monday.

It's a weird one... where you have to play FFA, and you can only kill people in alphabetical order. So you end up having to run away from a battle if they aren't your target and such.

You can however defend your own base if someone attacks, but of course he won't accept a turtle match to be shown.
