So I wanted to make an old PS1 controller into a usb, without buying anything, and I stumbled upon this forum post (http://www.maxishine.com.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11543). I want to do the same thing, except use the controller's motherboard also, so I can accommodate everything with a simpler set of wiring (even though it may not be simpler).

Will it be possible for me to use the controller's motherboard, or should I scrap it and do this mod entirely? If so, I will lose some of the buttons, because my ps1 controller has joysticks.

If I can, i'll probably turn this thread into a how to on, well, how to do it. And post progress on me doing it.

As little use as this may be.
I only know of a way to adapt these controllers for paralel ports.
Here's a few sites to look into if you want to try.
You're going to need to use a translator for the second link though unless you use chrome which doe's it automatic for me.
