So I got 2 monitors, my desktop, my laptop, and my 360. So I had this idea for a setup but not sure if it would work or if its even possible. Basically, I want a switch that I can flip so my speakers change between my desktop and my xbox, as well as the video on my main monitor between my xbox and my pc. Then, I wanted to make it a little more challenging. I wanted to know if its possible to throw my laptop into the mix where I can then display my primary laptop screen on one of my monitors as well as change the sound and what not.
Help? :X

Depends on the speakers you have... My Logitech Z-5500's have three different inputs, Coaxial, Direct, and Optical so I was able to use Optical on my Xbox and Direct for my PC. This allows me to just change inputs on the speakers and switch to what system I'm using. I could throw my laptop in as well using coaxial but I don't need to.
I also have my 360 connected to one of my monitors using the extra VGA connector that Microsoft sells, then my PC is connected via DVI. Again I can just press a button to switch inputs.
If your speakers only have one input, the cheapest way would be to just split it into three with an octopus style splitter that gives you multiple inputs. Connect everything you want, and then just disable all the sound output from the devices you're not using.

You could get a VGA switch (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=117443) box like what I use.

The way I have mine set up right now is my 360 and laptop connected to my tv via hdmi and then an optical cable to my stereo from the tv. The TV works as the switch and the 5.1 works perfectly.
