Alright so I got this hard drive about a month ago off of newegg and now it decided to not load windows 7 anymore. Instead it gives me an error saying cannot read disk. When I tried reformatting and installing a new copy of windows 7, it says "cannot read disks". I ran chkdsk /f /r and it's reading the file records very slowly, I also get errors that say "File record segment xxxx is unreadable". xxxx = file segment number. Does anyone know if chkdsk /f /r will even fix the unreadable file segements? I want to know since I'm waiting very patiently.
