I saw an interesting article on Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/07/rts-and-fps-mixed-up-into-a-warsoup/) and also on Destructoid (http://www.destructoid.com/warsoup-is-what-happens-when-rts-meets-fps-189096.phtml) about an intriguing game called Warsoup, which is being developed by Moon Studios.

The only thing that bothers me slightly is how much of Halo they've used. They even used an image of Harvest (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/File:Harvest_Plasma_Glassed.jpg) in the video.

I did a quick search on Google an came across this thread (http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/50747-Warsoup) showing some of the early concept images and models of the game.

I will certainly be keeping an eye on this game. I like the way it looks and I hope that the RTS-FPS combination will work well.

I spy with my little eye a companion cube/normal portal cube.

Interesting, but not what I would call an RTS/FPS hybrid. It's more like TF2 Plus. If you want a real RTS/FPS hybrid, I suggest you folks look at this (http://www.battlezone1.net/patch/). Yes, it works perfectly fine on Windows 7 64-bit as well.

Wow wtf, they have blantantly used Halo content and stolen ideas.

The main gun shown, basically is the assault rifle. The zoom picture is basically the BR's scope. The reticle is from Halo. The grenade sound EVEN has the sound of the grenade hitting the ground, from Halo (he pulls the pin and you hear it hitting ground). Then obviously the Harvest picture you guys showed.

To me the game seems very bland, I see people rarely using the RTS sections to its full potential, and using the standard FPS section for killing.

To me it looks like a mod for Halo, rather than a new game in Unity engine.

Reminded me of Borderlands with the point system.
