View Full Version : [UNREAL] Dynamic Reflection

Anybody know of a good tutorial on dynamic reflection in UDK, I know it involves SceneCaptureReflectionActor but I can't quite figure out how to make it work on this mirror and google has not helped me thus far.

that shows you how to set it up material-wise. you do use the scenecapturereflectactor, then you also right click and select new TextureRenderTarget2D. Then you reference that texture in the reflect actor by hitting f4 while it's selected and expand the scene capture actor expandable and reference it in the texture target area.

Keep in mind... realtime reflections are very very intensive. Fake it if you can.

Looks kinda crappy to fake a mirror though. Could do cubemap but when you walk in front if it you'd be all like wtf is this.
