I'm trying to rip the content from this video (http://www.gdcvault.com/play/1012346/Concrete_Practices_to_be_a_Better_Leader) (direct url (http://events.digitallyspeaking.com/gdc2010/player.html?xmlURL=xml/10303_1268353080234KEPY.xml&token=3c6c000ab0766078310c)).

The configuration settings can be found here in this xml file (http://events.digitallyspeaking.com/gdc2010/xml/10303_1268353080234KEPY.xml).

I've tried various URL combinations based on the host site and such with the paths in the xml file but haven't been able to get a copies of the video. Anyone wish to help? Can't promise I can do anything in return but you never know

Have you tried keeping an eye out in your browser's cache? It shouldn't be too hard to keep an eye out for a growing file, that's how I try to grab flv's off random sites.

Actually never heard of doing that. Almost all other times I've been able to use a site to give me the direct URL to a FLV so I've been spoiled so far :3

Tried using CacheViewer (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2489/), but the videos don't seem to be in the cache (I'm checking as it plays)

Yeah, it's a pretty hit and miss method for grabbing files (isn't working for me with Chrome).

Newer versions of Fraps can record certain desktop videos.

I've done this before. If I recall I took the sfw out of a temp file.

You should do it again or I'll molest your inner child :allears:

You know, the one you keep letting out over XBL.

Download an app called Orbit downloader. It has a function called Grab++ which sits and listens for files in a browser, if you view an flv or avi, it will grab the link and give you option to download.

Simple :)

DownloadHelper's better for that than Orbit, though I didn't have any luck with either.

It's a good thing my inner child is a slut.
There's a program called Flashget that saves .sfw files, you can give that a try.
