That trailer actually has me looking forward to this game now. At first I was simply "Oh neat crysis on 360."

Looks like a cross between Reach and Modern Warfare 2 gameplay... I'm not sure if that's interesting or not. Gonna have to try this shit out, hope the PC version didn't get back-burnered.

Trailer looked pretty cool. One of the cooler non-Halo trailers I've seen in a while for an FPS (not counting DNF because it's a category on its own).

It's a nice trailer, but if people can turn completely invisible at will I just can't see that working out well for gameplay. Blackops was bad enough with people constantly coming up behind eachother due to terrible map design.

Worked perfectly fine in Crysis and Wars, sure you had the occasional sniper you had issues seeing but the way it works is it has a timer before it runs out and needs to recharge.
If you fire a shot it depletes your energy immediately leaving you vulnerable to shots.
You have a health bar which is depleted after so many shots but can recharge but you also have a optional armour mode which is overridden by stealth mode, strength.

The invis also makes heaps of noise so you can hear them even if theyre in the next room. They also die faster, also when a snipers using invis you generally see a blue flicker which stands out like a sore thumb.

you end up using maximum speed more than anything (at least i do)
and in black ops ,i thought the reason way players keep ending up behind people was because of the way the spawn system was set up...

This is horrible. I have the new 360 slim, and apparently, if you are a 360 user that uses wireless… Well, this beta isn’t for you. The beta just freezes right before the game starts because of the fact I am using wireless and I don’t have my 360 hooked up with a Ethernet cable.
I am not the only one with this problem. Aparently alot of people are starting to post about this issue. Eh. Great way to introduce Crysis to a Console. Lol.

It seems Crytek fixed the issue. Or atleast I made it in one game session. It is fun, but the graphics are nothing special. It feels really dumbed down for the 360. I am not even joking, thats how it feels.
Still a fun game.

So played it for a good bit, got power & cloak to max rank, armor almost there, unlocked most weps/attachments/perks
Controls are laggy and clunky (not sure if this is due to the console port or the network lag) and sensitivity acceleration is out of whack a bit (aiming starts too slow, ends up too fast) but the buttons and functions are laid out quite well. The gameplay itself is a bit harder to judge; there's still the tactical element of how-do-I-use-my-energy (I like the way they've streamlined powers) and I'm perfectly fine with getting rid of the speed acrobatics from Crysis 1, but there's still a sense that it's moving towards that shooter singularity which CoD sits proudly in the center of. Whether or not this is a bad thing is a case by case basis; I'll have to play the single-player to know my personal opinion.
Admittedly, I hate to judge a game's quality by directly comparing it to another, but this game's multiplayer is so unashamedly similar to Call of Duty that I can't talk about the former without mentioning the latter. The game tries so hard to adhere to the CoD formula that, in a way, its problems are amplfied; each poor design choice isn't just a problem in and of itself, it's a problem to which you can directly say "CoD does this better." The multiplayer's not bad, by any means, and there's just enough customization and polish that it doesn't feel tacked on, but it tries so hard to be a replacement for CoD that it squanders its opportunity to be a decent alternative, like Halo or Battlefield.
I get the feeling that this was the third leg of EA's plan to try and displace Activison's hold over the shooter multiplayer market (along with BFBC2, which worked reasonably well, and MoH, which certainly did not), which is a terrible attitude to take, and I hope they get over that soon.
E: Because that was incredibly negative: A good thing that I did take away from this is a considerable excitement towards the campaign's potential on the PC. I'll almost certainly be getting this day 1 off Steam.

I have to agree with Ifafudafi on everything.
My additions were that I felt that the Hud was too cluttered...and why was it that every time I died, the weapons the people killed me with literally had NO recoil whatsoever.

If you are high enough level, you can use the ability to not have recoil.
Also, I have the hologram ability that sends a decoy look alike in front of you so that it confuses enemies, but sadly it doesn't really work as it is supposed to. I die more when using the hologram, because it attracts more attention.
I also hate how you have to press the joystick in on the controller to melee. I find that hard to do, when I only have a split second to melee the person infront of me. :\
Edit: So now I am level 10 and I feel as though I can not be killed. Why? I dunno. I doubt its from playing it so much. It feels as though once you reach level 10, you become super strong. Its not SUPER strong, but its just enough that you can take a few extra bullets compared to the guy that you are shooting at. This advantage is enough to get 2-3 people in one striking.

Since the editing kit allows syncing of the 360 and the pc or pc and PS3, would online profiles be sync-able on all the machines? Would be nice that way, so custom weapon layouts and exp wouldn't be lost from console to machine or vise versa.

Why not keep the name?
If it's similarities to real life you have issues with then maybe you should take a good look and notice Crysis is in no way similar to real life.
I don't see any Ceph aliens flying about ripping New York to shreds.

downloaded this demo. its cool, but the controls do feel a little clunky. just a little. once i figure out what i was doing though it wasnt so bad.
the gameplay is what the fuck though. why is melee the most powerful god damn attack you have? and that recoil perk. when i see killcams of people killing me, it looks like they snap right to my body, and have absolutely no recoil. for me it hardly seems like the recoil is lessened. and is it just me or does this game feel a little laggy? like bioshock 2 laggy. im comparing the latency to cod, but it seems in cod when you see someone and shoot them, they die in a couple of shots. in this game it seems like sometimes bullets just dont even count, ill start shooting someone, theyll turn around, shoot me 3 times and ill die. ironically enough, i found the "scar" with single shot was the most effective weapon for me. you know, aside from the melee. i actually got 5 kills in 30 seconds just camping this one area punching people. and even that is laggy. the punch was taking over a second to register. the spawn system is messed up too i think. idk if people just run REALLY fast, but in almost every game i played, somebody would drop dead within 5 seconds of the game starting because an enemy would spawn right next to my team.
tl;dr: is this a demo or a beta? this has the potential to be a great game, but this stuff, among other things, is an issue.

The game is laggy because the Xbox can barely handle it.
Usually when you shoot people and they turn around and kill you instantly means they had maximum armor or you missed a lot a they didn't.

Also this is the first time this engine has been implemented on the Xbox 360 [not including CE1 here] so it's to be expected that there will be bugs here and there.
Personally I've not enjoyed a FPS like this in a very long time, even Reach has/had troubles getting me this enthusiastic about a game.
I gotta admit, I fucking love how the kill streak system works, you need to pick up the dog tags which solves the issues with camping, if you use a kill streak before getting more kills for the next it resets your streak.
I had a chance to use the orbital laser twice in a single game last night, so much win watching in game winning cam of the guy running away from a giant beam of death.

this game is definitly interesting, but the melee is so ridiculous. its almost not worth using bullets. you might as well just use that armor augment that beeps when enemies are close and sit in a dark corner with cloak on, then rush in and melee everyone.
they need to optimize the game to run on the 360 a bit better, and fix that melee thing. once they get that straightened out, things will be much better. i have to say, i love the single shot "attachment" and the ability to turn it on and off. iv never seen that in a game before, and it helps me a whole lot.

If you create a custom load out you can choose a upgrade to allow single shot mode for the SCAR.
To use ingame you use the left D-Pad and it changes the firing mode.

idk if it actually works any better, but i find myself getting more kills with less ammo with it. then again, i was that same guy who passed up automatic weapons in cod for the m14 and fal and mashed the trigger as fast as possible everytime i saw someone.
