Okay we know we have tons of flash games where the games are mindless//pointless but there are some really cool games where the authors actually put themes and style into their works, developing what doesn't have to be a complex story, but one that made you go "oh wow"
The reason I ask this is because I recently was made aware that such games really exist. For example, I show you:

An amazing little game that blew me away - it's not a complex story at all. In fact, the gist of it is very simple... but the game has good direction, themes, (music, art, as well as "Dialogue") and stuff like that which you don't often see in flash games.

Hold right arrow key and learn a DEEP lesson about life, so exciting
I can imagine the people that make these wear thick rimmed glasses, sweaters and scarves in 90 degree weather

What's this? A Flash game involving an underdeveloped protagonist, a passive-aggressive parental figure, minimalist graphics, and a soft piano soundtrack? Hot diggity!
Sarcasm aside, a lot of these so-called "deep" or "meaningful" Flash games you see popping up these days really aren't. That's my thought, at least.

Submachine (http://www.submachineworld.com/). It's a basic point-and-click exploration game, but its conceptual content and fan theories, of which many are included in the Submachine Network Exploration Project, make its universe broad and foreboding.
NOTE: If you play, be sure to explore thoroughly, understand that the game doesn't get complicated until the second chapter and doesn't show much story until the fourth. From there, it really picks up, with the sixth installment being my favorite thus far.

The Company of Myself (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/518729)
This game is amazing. Read the everything that appears on screen, and finish the game (its not too long). Its one of my all time favorites.
