Do Xbox originals work on the 360? :o If so, I never knew.
Hmm, you can get a decent amount of money off of the games. 360... not so much.
Btw how much are you willing to sell reach for? :)

No idea, but if it'd be better to sell this stuff off in pieces than in a whole then i'm all ears for pricing. Donut was also looking at some of the games.

How much are you asking?

That's what I posted the topic for, lol. I have no idea what it's worth.

like i said before, if you settle on a low price for some of those old xbox 1 games, i might buy one or two. what im really looking at is your hard drive. any wired controllers if you have them, but youd probably want to keep them for your pc

Name a price and what you want, and we could come with something reasonable. If you want to, we can talk on Steam: tearshade

Mainly focused on the originals. How much for True Crime?
ThePlague
January 24th, 2011, 09:27 PM
3 bucks plus shipping expenses alright?

January 24th, 2011, 11:15 PM
I'd charge the more recent games $7 and older games $3. The Xbox should be around $100 and the controllers should be around $5 each. That's how I see it anyways, from a sensible consumer standpoint without the seller losing too much money.

The original games can be cheap, i'm fine with that. But the new ones will depend on the game. For true crime I searched the internet and got $3. The only difference is that I keep all of my stuff in great condition (except for water damage on Halo 2, effing water bottle). Also, the controllers will depend on how they're sold.

So what games does everyone want? I'll take them off the list and put this up on craiglist or ebay.

Hey hazard, how much do you want for reach?
ThePlague
January 26th, 2011, 07:01 PM
Just Reach, or would you like the sexy controller too? I could do the game for 40 plus shipping USD, or game and controller for 90 USD, shipping included. And hell, if you buy controller and game i'll throw in a 1600 MS point card for the map pack.

Last time to think about wanting any of these, because if you do i'll take them off the list. This is going to go up on Craigslist later today/tomorrow.

No idea. Don't know how much shipping will be yet. I can cover it though, I just want to get rid of this.
It was up for about 30 mins before someone bought it, haven't gotten the money yet though.

Don't ship anything until you get payed in full. Scams occur most with console bundle selling.

Yo, I actually think this is a scam now. The person's name is all messed up and shit. I've never seen a credible buyer on ebay with even a remotely close name to that. You can't even access the guy's user profile.
RedBaron
February 4th, 2011, 02:54 AM
Yup, I can tell you probably jumped on the guy's offer at the first sight of a buyer. You probably haven't been using ebay in the past. He's most definitely a scammer if you can't even view his profile or see his buying/selling history. I would advise you to use ebay's buyer assurance to regain the percentage of money you paid to ebay for using their service, then post your offer back up again to last for a minimum of 7 days as an auction that starts at $400. And charge no less than $25 for shipping (that still won't cover the shipping cost, but it's your call).
Ebay is a waiting game, you're bound to hit a truthful buyer eventually. The down side is that you still have to pay ebay their percentage fee even if your offer doesn't sell by the end of the auction. Amazon doesn't collect any fees if you didn't succeed in selling, but they don't allow you to put up bundle deals.

No. eBay does this for the protection of the customers. Unless you are the seller, information about other bidders or the winning bidder is not displayed to the general eBay users.

You can not just use eBays "Buyer protection" as you wish. He must first give the person 7 days to pay, and then he may open a case, in which time eBay gives the buyer another 7 days to pay. From there, he must wait another 3 days for the final decision if the customer has not payed and he escalated the case to eBay.
If you're offer doesn't sell, you do not pay any percentage fee or fee's. You get refunded the money. In this case, he must ask the customer to settle for a cancellation, in order for ebay to give the fee and percentage back.
He can not just resell the item. Again, it all goes back to the fact that there is no evidence this guy is a scammer, and the fact that Plague must wait 7 days before attempting to open a case.
I have personally sold a bunch of things on Ebay, including a bunch of 360's.
Also when I say "He", I am referring to plague.

I only got so far as sending the invoice, been waiting ever since. Pyong said to wait 3 days max for payment, but i'll do your method Josh. And if it does fall through, i'll do Delta's payment options.
Also, I didn't jump anything, he did the buy it now.

February 4th, 2011, 01:54 PM
O okay, I assumed that $400 was a pretty low price for all of those games included. Personally I would make buy now to be around $500 and start the bidding at $400
ThePlague

So, should I wait the 7 days, or relist it? Relisting is going to cost 55 cents.
RedBaron
February 4th, 2011, 02:14 PM
I would wait to see if that guy really did scam you. Is there a number in parentheses next to his name? If not, then he's probably looking to scam you. If he really does decide to pay for it, you should go through with the transaction else get a bad rating on ebay. But then again, you could just not care about that.

February 4th, 2011, 02:30 PM
He has a 0 in parenthesis next to his name. He also joined the same night I posted the bid. I don't want to screw the dude over if it isn't a scam, but it does seem like i'm going to get fucked for money through this deal.
RedBaron
February 4th, 2011, 03:40 PM
Yeah, those are key signs that this is a scam. I would wait a few days then repost it. If he tries to contact you outside of ebay through email, he would probably say something like "you can send me the package now, I can pay you when I receive it" or a fake spam email indicating that he already payed you. Don't ever accept payments under the table outside of ebay, if he payed you correctly, then the status for the auction on the ebay website will update. At any rate, I wouldn't take it to heart until you can actually see the balance in your own bank, paypal account.
You might wonder why I'm so cautious. I had a friend a few years back that was in the same position as you. He was selling his PS2 and all his games in a bundle so that he could make money for a 360. He hadn't used ebay before, and the guy who wanted to scam him sent my friend an email outside of ebay saying how he would buy it. My friend then received a fake phishing email that looked like it was from ebay saying how the payment was received. So my friend sent it out to friggin' Nigeria, where postal services already cost him around $60. This happened years ago, when we were still very young. But my dad kept trying to steer his father in the right direction, but instead they decided to jump on the first buyer. Sad thing was that there were already legit bids going for the auction on ebay.
E: that (0) means that he has completed zero transactions with that account. These types of accounts are usually made for one time use so that they can do one scam then discard it as ebay would probably then lock that account. Just think of it this way, someone who truly did just sign up for ebay and is using it for the first time, wouldn't make a $400 transaction as their first buy. They would probably buy something less risky first to get the feel of the service. Out of curiosity, what is your number? If yours is pretty low, the scammers could target you thinking that you're a scrub.

Yeah the fact that the person has 0 rating and signed up the day you posted the ad is extremely fishy to me. Make sure you're checking all emails you get regarding it and ensuring the validity of the links.

Well, everything regarding the sale so far from ebay is verified. I sent the invoice last night after the purchase, but haven't gotten anything from the buyer yet. What is more fishy is the guy's name, Tiago Martins. That seems like a fake name, especially someone from GA.
Now, even if I wanted to resell it, i'd have to call up ebay and raise my selling limit since it's my first sale.

It's been over a month, so I decided to relist it. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260752961119) I took some of your guys' info and changed the prices.
