Don't know why this was posted. The first game was decent, and this one looks a hell of a lot better.

First game was "meh" in my opinion, this looks better though. The swarm mode looks fun, and the vehicles that you can buy along with the auto-turrets set it apart from Halo firefight and such.

Oh nice, looks like a game that will actually be fun and worth full price. I think I may get it!
And I just checked out the wiki article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_8_%28video_game%29#Sequel)...Prejudice will be download only @ 14.99$ =o

At $14.99 I wouldn't be surprised if it's going to be an expansion that requires you to own Section 8. I may pick it up for this however.

It's a digital download (http://www.newgamenetwork.com/news/2191/section-8-prejudice-goes-downloadonly-pricing-announced/), not DLC.

Honestly can't believe that it'll be that cheap myself... But I guess if it's digital download only and none of the big publishers have their claws into it that makes sense.

I 'll need to try this game out. Didn't play the first, but I've been meaning to for a while.

The first one was so generic and boring I couldn't stand it. I can't even believe they made THIS. I might check it out.

It was kind of generic, but it had its interesting characteristics. This one is going to be hella better though, so it seems from the videos i've seen.

Triple post/bump.
It's out now for Xbox 360, 1200 MS points. May 4th release for PC, but you can pre-order it on Steam with a 10% discount at the moment ($13.49). PS3 release sometime this summer.

I only watched a little bit of gameplay footage from the first and it looked pretty horrible. This new one looks better though, but not amazingly great or anything. Cheap for 15 dollars though.

Anyone play the release yet? How's it compare to that more recent video?

Downloaded it for the 360 last night. All and all it's a good game especially for the price. All the mechanics are fun and pretty balanced. My only gripe is how clunky the controls feel for the console. A total lack of aim assist, especially for such a fast paced game, makes for some pretty frantic spray and prey moments. The lock on feature helps some, but only long enough to take out someones shields. I'm sure all the control problems would've been irrelevant if I had just waited and bought it on the PC; but meh, It's still fun. I have yet to play through the campagine yet so we will see how that turns out, though my hopes aren't to high.

If you plan on playing the game from time to, add me on XBL (same as my username). I'll probably end up buying it, depending on how much HDD space it requires

I think I heard from somewhere that it required 2 gb of space.

Campaign is absolutely terrible. It's only about 2 hours in length and just feels like it was thrown together last minute. The AI is crap, dies fairly easily, and doesn't pose much of a threat till the last bit of the game where the AI suddenly becomes godlike and takes a ton more damage.
Multiplayer is meh. Has some cool elements, feels a lot like tribes at times, but I really dont think I'll play it much aside from when my friend (he bought it not me) wants to play.

I'm torn b/w throwing down the 15$ for this or saving it for gas monies :ohdear:
