Rumors have now surfaced that Kaos Studios has 2 DLC packs already in the works and both of them include a 3 mission single player and new maps. The first DLC single player puts you back into the role of Robert Jacobs. The missions will take place after the events of Homefront. The second DLC will include a new character that is a SAS soldier who is trying to help take back Hawaii from the Koreans. This DLC will help segue into the sequel that will take place in London.

WTF? This game is a blatant money grab! They deliberately cut some of the SP out of the initial game so they could have something to charge for in the DLC? Seriously devs and publishers need to stop fucking around with DLC for once and make a COMPLETE FUCKING GAME!

From the sound of it they're just doing the DLC's campaign missions to move people to the eventual sequel (set in London)...I don't see the harm in that (ODST basically did something similar and was 60$, including all the H3 MP maps)

but I've heard this is a shitty game so w/e.

wait stop the fucking press, Games that are sold on consoles are a money grab?
Holy shit this is revolutionary news!
Protip: Practically anything sold is a money grab of some form or another, you have money that they want and they are selling something you want.

When the original game is 4 hours long, there is a problem with trying to "bridge" the game to the UK aspect.

If the DLC is just extra level geometry and objectives, basically something an amateur modder might be able to do, then this is pretty much another Activision.

However, if it's a proper expansion with adequate new stuff, i.e. the HL2 Episodes or Crysis Warhead or just about every RTS expansion pack in the past, then it's not really a problem with me. I mean, the HL2 episodes weren't much, but they added enough variation from what we'd already seen in HL2, enough such that it didn't feel like an amateur mod.

Since they've just said "3 missions", I sadly think it's the former.

Homefront was garbage. Sanctus and I had been following it for a while hoping it was going to be good. We got a half-assed game with an embarrassingly bad multiplayer.

I'm pretty sure I told you guys it was crap a long time ago, back when Combat Testing (which I'm part of) was testing the game for PC and 360...

Yeah, I think it was in an unrelated thread somewhere unfortunately.
