I want to recreate the powerhouse terrain, I want to know how to measure it properly, find out how dementions is there some way I can do this accurately a program or method??
Or is there some way I can get the original height map by exporting or downloading?? (I have a USB hard drive )

Bungie's engine doesn't use height map based world geometry, they model everything in programs like 3dsmax.

Nothing is public which both extracts resources and puts them into importable model data files.

its not that simple... low poly meshs are made in Maya, then imported to Zbrush. you cant use a simple height map

I was under the impression that modeling a low poly mesh, then importing it to ZBrush/Mudbox to scult a higher poly mesh was impractical?

[EDIT: I meant this for terrain, TERRAIN!]

Ahhh how would it be impractical? Every object today is sculpted to some degree in zbrush. Its industry standard.
