Leather necklace. The front is one piece of calf leather and the back is goat skin along with the strands. I painted the opal to look like an opal and glazed it.

Leather carved and partially dyed dragon mask. Once the coloring is complete, I'm going to form it around a mannequin head.

Wax carved buckle sets along side the buckle I looked at to carve them. These will eventually be cast in silver.

I really enjoy your leather work. How much did those projects cost you?

Here's my first airbrush painting after I took a 6 hour class to learn how to airbrush.

The leather itself isn't really that expensive.
I got enough of that anaconda leather to make that belt for around $80. The leather for the back cost around $20. The leather for the lace costs around $3-5. And then there's about 20 hours of time in it. If it was to sell, the retail would be around $1000-1200.
I learned all of this from an Australian guy named Peter Main. If you google "Peter Main Leather" you will see all of the stuff that he makes.

That is some mad profit margin right there. If you could find a way to crank them out faster than 20 hours a piece...

If I was to sell it myself, I would sell it to a retailer at half that price though.
I used to work for a jeweler and the price gets doubled(keystoned) twice along the way to the consumer.
Once before it goes to the retailer and once at the retailer.
