How would one go about using exact portals on interior areas of a map? I have a large, complex area to portal, and I'm guessing exact portals would work best since they're good for that kind of thing from what I understand. However, the HEK tutorial never covers using them on extended or convoluted interior maps, and I don't entirely understand how I would place them so that they might work properly.
My map has a shitload of corridors, so that's why I'm asking.

Use exact portals on smaller areas, and if there is a main interior thats REALLY big, use terrain portals.

Use exactportals to seal off rooms, basically. In the tutorial map there are exactportals at the ends of the bases, with the normals facing out into the exterior.

you don't really need to do it on every doorway either, just on areas where your trying to keep things like fog, weather, and sounds separate and to separate large chunks of geometry.
