I'm looking at buying two EVGA 560ti's but I need to know which one would suit me.

I believe both are the same in terms of Core clock, Shader clock, Memory clock, and streamed processors, and can achieve identical speeds if overclocked.

I plan on buying one 1080p 24in monitor this summer, and possibly two more in the fall. Which made me think about getting the 2gb varient instead of the 1gb.

So which one do you guys think would suit me well?

It never hurts to get 2Gb instead of 1Gb if everything else is the same. Sure, it may cost more but there will be better performance.

If you're getting two 1GB models you'll have 2GB total. That should be plenty at 1080p, and I wouldn't bother looking at the 2GB ones unless you go above 1080p in resolution or use more than one monitor.

Keep in mind that with SLI, the scene data is redundant on both cards. The only thing divided between them is the frame buffer, so you're not making full use of all the expensive video memory you're paying for, which is a roundabout way of saying, "Don't bother with SLI". The price-performance proposition is suspect.

If you are using only one 1920x1080 display, one 560Ti card is enough. Even less powerful cards can push that res on high settings quite well.

SLI/crossfire isn't always the best solution, there are times when it's more worth it to just get a more powerful single card if you have the money. However if you plan on running 3+ displays (my dream rig), go for it.

:ohdear:

Get the 2GB model for sure. You'll need that extra memory once you get your other displays.

Just sayin' the 2GB on each of my 1GB GTX 285's seems fine for 5760x1200.

Surely you've never seen an erection...that's why you need three screens to distract you from your impotence. :V

Who needs sex when you have 5760x1200 pixels of glory?

Also: Fuck nVidia and AMD! ATi branding FTW! When the HD 5970's get cheap from Sapphire, I'm gonna try to grab one. The most powerful ATi branded card ever.
