GRID is hands down the best racing game I've ever played. It's so diversified. Not to mention, the graphics look so fucking real, but the ultra config steps that up another notch. GRID features several modes of competition using various cars. Three main regions are found in the game, United States, Europe, and Japan, each with their own championship. Each of the game's 43 cars are tied to one of these three regions. GRID also features several types of events to compete in, including GT championships, drifting, touge, open wheel racing, and demolition derby, as well as variants on several of these motorsports. Players can also participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the end of each racing season.

Multiplayer is plagued by Russians driving in the wrong direction just to derby you out of the game.

When I used to play on Xbox, I could never find another player that wasn't lagging around the track. It is a great game though, just make sure to have a controller/gamepad/wheel.

No it isn't. Well, I only starting playing multiplayer a year ago. I have no idea what went on before then. Multiplayer is fun, but hard.

I was going to get it for console before (since I use a gamepad for this genre anyway), until I realized it had no split screen. So I missed out.

Now $5 for a PC version? Count me in.

Yeah. I found that out shortly after I posted, but I didn't want to tell you guys because some people wouldn't buy it. You can still use the LAN function through tunngle and gameranger. Both work very well. I prefer Tunngle though.

yeah I was disappointed too. At least PC gamers have an alternative. But the console versions lack split screen so PS3 owners are SOL.

I normally prefer console versions of racers, but the trend has been to ditch split screen altogether recently so if there's no PC version, screw it, I'm missing out. /rant

As for Batman at $7.50... get it if you haven't played it, however it sadly lacks the play-as-Joker challenge mode on the PS3 version. Nvidia PhysX owners are in for a real treat too. Plus, this is one of the first PC games of this genre I've played where the keyboard controls are serviceable.

Codemasters should have asked Activision to renew the contract for them. Oh well, not like I played a lot of online. The only racing games I ever played a lot of online for was Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 and Porsche Unleashed. EA pulled the plug on Porsche Unleashed servers in 2003, I think it was, but god damn did I get a lot out of that community supported IPLounge.

Also, the four pack includes four copies of the game INCLUDING all the DLC's. I bought a four pack, sent off two copies to close friends but I may have one more to give away here...

Metro 2033 is $5 today while Borderlands is 75% off. Borderlands is only worth buying if you have others to play with though, just like L4D.

I've never seen such a crazy deal on all three items together. The story mode for each game is just so gripping, especially Chaos Rising. At the very least, pick up The Last Standalone for $5. That is the multiplayer component of Retribution that keeps me coming back time and again:

Already got Saints Row 2 last week. Having already put more time in that game than Vice City and GTAIII combined, I think I'm happy.

That was a DAMNED good deal though. If I hadn't already bought the game on the 360 I would've jumped on that in a second.
