Who's going this year? I'm really looking forward to Skyrim and the Brink tournament I signed up for. :downs:

Brink is a decent game, they just failed to actually finish it correctly :\ Good thing I bought it for 10 bucks :p

Since I'm going there to trollololo the LAN for two and a half days instead of rage at the presentations, I think I'll have a pretty good time.


Also, a giant room filled with ADHD persons off of their meds is a JOY to listen to. Especially the one annoyed guy that keeps shouting at them to shut up.


Can't wait.

FAVORITE thing to do at Quakecon: Wait until it's around midnight, and shout "AMERICUUUUH" just to see how many people follow it up.

Playing in the Brink tournament was a blast! Even though my team got pwnd within three minutes in the second round. :>
We put up a hell of a fight doing our best to escort the guy to the final point. Maybe the other team went easy on us on the last ten seconds since it was going to be such a close game and because it was our first time ever playing Brink. Either way it was loads of fun. :)

One thing I found weird was that onstage people were facing off against each other on the PC version of RAGE, while the kiosks were all on the 360. The 360 kiosks all had a multiplayer client as well as a hefty portion of the singleplayer.



Also, John Carmack talked about how he's dissapointed with how the industry is treating modders right now, announced that this year they'll be releasing the Doom 3 source code, an SDK for RAGE, and announced that all future id games will have full dedicated server support. The bulk of RAGE is the singleplayer, and John said that if they get whatevernumberitis of people enjoying the multiplayer, they'll patch in a full multiplayer client.

As much of a tribes fan I am, i'm absolutely hating they're doing a F2P model with it.
