it's probably just a way to bring hats into CS.

Unless ADS is put into CS:S, I don't much care. Hip firing is awkward to do these days unless it's UT, Halo, or any Source game other than CS.

I've read from a tester's log that it feels much like Source, but plays more like 1.6. I can't fathom what that means and I played both.

I want a modern multiplayer shooter with a weapons list that steadily grows over time. Valve pulls that off and I'm set for life.

It's funny cause the one time Valve actually attempted to get people to use something other than the same 3 guns (AK, M4, and deagle) in CSS, everyone raged hardcore and disabled it on their servers.

Honestly, I've been playing CS 1.6 and Source off and on since 2006 and the only guns that actually are difficult to use are the Glock...uh...the Five SeveN...and, well, that's it. A headshot with just about anything will take the other player down, so I have no idea what players complain about. The AK, M4 and Deagle are actually my 3 least used weapons, with the exception of the sniper rifles.

Just add something like a SCAR as a random drop, and give it the exact same stats as the M4. Or a .45 revolver with the exact same stats as a Deagle(albeit one less bullet), the only real change would be in the appearance and reloading animations.

Wait, did you just call the two most accurate pistols of the game hard to use? I'd wager that the hardest gun to use is the Mac 10.

Also, I find that appearance and animations affect how I play in a surprising way. I sucked balls with the M4 until I installed a new model/skin/origin for it from FPSBanana. Now I'm decent with it. I was pretty good with the AK before, but now I'm a god for the same reason.

It's been ages since I played a public CS game online. I still do LANs or private servers with friends every once in a while.

I tend to use the MP5 a lot and always take the first opportunity to grab an AUG or 552 (depending on which side I'm on). The small zoom is pretty helpful, although I wish Valve would give a proper scope view for those two guns.

You also realise that using the scope on the AUG and the 552 makes them less accurate, right? You'd be better off making your crosshair really tiny with the console and not zooming in at all.

Also, ADS! ADS, ADS, ADS! Gimme! If CS:S had ADS, it would trounce even CoD. That and weapon attachments.

Why isn't this thread, and the Dota2 one in the Valve games section?

How about everyone here wait for the game to come out and in the mean time worry about getting out of main until then? Oh wait, you're all in open still! LOL bad players. Go back to your hats in tf2.

Btw does anyone here want to trade an unusual safe n' sound for another unusual?

Didnt Valve say they werent making SP games any more a while back?

Also, what is new about this CS? (Part from new gfx), why should I buy it and not just load up CSS?

Nope. They just said they won't be making games in the episodic model anymore.

Game looks uninteresting.
I agree.

Didnt Valve say they werent making SP games any more a while back? They aren't making games with JUST a Single Player portion anymore, but that doesn't mean they're stopping SP all together. They're just always going to have an online mode now for games whether in the form of competitive or co-op much as they did with Portal 2.

Also, what is new about this CS? (Part from new gfx), why should I buy it and not just load up CSS?New modes. All that really needs to be said, even if they are just the standard fair. Still: new modes.

I maintain that it needs aim-down-sight. Modern combat games feel so awkward with out it, especially something like Counter-Strike.
