I thought this thread was going to be about how TLO missed his first damn game against SelecT, or HuK's embarrassing loss to fucking infestors.
Or the Koreans still being OP.

No, TLO missing his first game is classic.

Oh hey would you look at that.
Terran won another MLG xd
Highest ranked protoss in 6th.
Four terrans in the top 8, 2 zerg, 2 toss.
Pathetic.

Hey, would you look at that, micro masters with great multitasking taking advantage of medivacs.
Funny how those protoss generally win when they harass the terrans to the point how they don't make drops.

The only imba race is Koreans sel, hth~
(and debatable the best T on the planet was the winner so that's not surprising when no top-3 z or p were there)

Despite being outplayed like crazy by the Coca.
He shouldn't have won, and made countless mistakes, while Coca made none.

Nah, coca way overreacted when pulling drones to block bunker and subsequently over extended his roaches.

Not that I don't agree that the best player won, but he pulled the drones at the time he would've been transferring them anyway.

The better player won.

In game 2 of the extended series, yes. On game 3, he pulled them way earlier than he would for what was nothing more than a feint. It put him in a spot where he had time to gather minerals and still sit around waiting for the hatch to pop up.

Nerf Terran, they're doing too well in tournaments. Just look at those charts. The winners have a higher win rate than the losers. It shows they're soo damned imbalanced.
Also, not sure how Idra is still in this, he's still making his upgrade mistakes.

Zeph

Agreed. Terran and Zerg won 0% of the games for first and second place. According to my graph plot, that shows they're horrible underpowered and need a boost.

I hate watching idra ruin himself in tournaments. He could have beat MC in either game he lost if he just held back and pushed his macro advantage (5base z verse 3base toss is pretty damn good). Fighting with hyrda's off creep is also painful to watch (and the overlord drop was a total failure in the metal game).
That said, he's still been performing SO much better lately. He actually stays in games he's behind in and it's letting him take some seemingly winnable games.

This is by far the best MLG. This Leenock guy is my new favorite over Spanishiwa. He's got that weird new play, but it's standard at the same time.

I wonder if, in another universe, Naniwa stopped trying to FFE and played different openings (IE. ones that aren't super vulnerable to unscouted roach play), whether he'd have won or if his success up to that point was a product of how far economically his FFE plays put him.
Leenock def deserved his win though. He straight up outplayed his opponent and he got there from the fucking open losers bracket.

DRG knocked him down to the losers didn't he? Just how far through the losers did he have to travel?

Quite a ways, he 2-0'd both HuK and IdrA, and Boxer...and MVP. (http://s3.majorleaguegaming.com/2011-providence-starcraft2-champ.html#) (View the Losers Bracket mainly)

a long long way.
Leenocks been a fav of mine for about 8 months now, him and Clide played this super epic series and he eventually came out on top.
he was an infestor ling style player before it took off, he used to do ultra drops... He's just brilliant.
Zeph
November 20th, 2011, 11:16 PM
I remember when the infestor buff first hit, 2/2 ling infestor was big. Not so much since it was subsequently nerfed and then buffed again to include fungal on flying units. I do like how he mixes in other units. If you think about it, an infestor has the gas of six roaches. Going one less infestor and having a much stronger meatshield seems like a good idea.
Bodzilla

roaches have less utility, and fungal growth will do more then the damage of 6 roaches.
it's a balancing act.
When leenock wins he generally dominates the other player into submission through brilliance.
i've seen him win games on crossfire the most imbalances tvz map in the game after going hatch first and loosing the hatch.
he's good
