Trailer for Crysis 1 on consoles got released today.
I'm getting tired of seeing pc exclusives being made inclusive whilst console exclusives being kept exclusive.
but none the less, this will be worth checking out if you wanted to play Crysis but couldn't because of hardware restraints [pretty much 75% of the Halo community].

UPDATE: Crytek boss Cevat Yerli has confirmed that Crysis will launch as a PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade title.

I might pick this up on PS3 if it can improve upon the multiplayer, which is pretty much ignorable on the PC version of Crysis 1. Even the dedicated Crysis Wars has so few people online damnit.

e: damn, seems like it doesn't have multiplayer

Finally everyone will see how shit Crysis 2 is compared to Crysis 1.

It's amazing what you can do when you only need to optimize for one set of hardware I guess. You have to remember, back when Crysis first came out the most powerful GPU on the market was the GeForce 8800 Ultra and SLI'd variants of it. The game was optimized fairly well for that series of card, but even modern cards don't run the game at the level they should.

Now I DID have an interest in the first Crysis, will most likely check this out.

Wow, did you really capture your screen and upload that to Youtube? Could you not have linked us to the GT video or download the original film file and upload that to Youtube?

Also exclusivity is done by date, different titles have different dates. Console games usually have 'exclusivity' rights whilst that current console is the active console. (I.e before the next gennext-gen arrived).

I can't wait for the console crowd to finally see the real Crysis and what true sandbox gameplay is. Fuck your Call of Duty you faggots (not those who play it, but those who will not acknowledge its flaws).

Seriously, though. What purpose does it serve to record a video of something that's already on the internet and then post it in a forum?

At the time of posting, the video link was not stable, one moment the link would load the page other times it would say no video was available.
Since I still had the page up I decided to make a mirror.
Before you mention I could have just downloaded it, in order to do that I need yet another account that i'll barely ever use yet still need to keep track off.

Circle Jump (Jump starts at 1:45):

(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xkRM27EAP0&feature=related)Wall Jump (Super coz its easier to do and better):

(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsZbw8X1b6E)Combine the two and it makes Crysis an amazingly fun game, it gets very intense very fast.

I wouldn't really call Crysis 1 "true sandbox gameplay". Yeah, it was way more open-world than Crysis 2 with more choices of paths to take, but you were ultimately following a totally linear series of missions. I found the "sandbox" aspect to be mostly an illusion.

Well, any story-centric game will be that way. The beauty lies in having complete freedom in how you approach each scenario rather than being funneled through a single entrance.

Well that's as close to sandbox as you get with an SP game. Any more freedom and you'd pretty much end up playing Far Cry 2 or ax the story entirely and end up with a Crysis Wars map with AI in it.

Most of the levels in crysis aren't very linear and can be played out how ever you want, theres still the "get from point A to point B" aspect but how you do that is up to you. On levels like Contact and Assault you can almost do the objectives in reverse order if you wanted, and on Contact you can skip half of them if you want and just swim across the harbor, up the hill to the end of the level. There are still linear levels, like almost all of the Alien levels but then again they all seem pretty rushed and incomplete if you ask me.
