I just ignore the "artist interpretations" when it comes to new space discoveries. Would rather stick to the facts

Just another candidate for life that we probably won't be able to send anything to within my lifetime :C
Ohh well, Curiosity is going up in November, and we still have that Titan mission sitting on the back burner waiting for funding...

Better left untouched. Do we really want to encounter the Covenant this early in Human kind's evolution?

Yes, because at this point they wouldn't consider us any kind of threat.
We can learn all we can about them so that we're ready in 2552!!

3.6 times bigger than the Earth? At least we won't have to worry about population issues for a while.
I'm still waiting for the Irish to develop faster-than-light travel to get to that nebula of alcohol (http://researchnews.osu.edu/archive/beercld.htm).

3.6 times bigger than earth? Well hello Mr. Gravity. My can of soda now weighs like.. 4 lbs.

Not necessarily, depends what the planet is composed off.

True. Is there any data on how dense the planet is?

3.6 Earth masses, they're not talking about size. Which means Ex was right in the first place; The gravity is stronger.

Could rotate slower or faster. Maybe it has 0.5 gees or it could have 4. Who knows?

We build massive orbital stations around the planet just above the atmosphere and compensate for the increased gravity. Oh, but we'd need tech which costs money. Oh, but we don't have money either. At least we got the brains....oh, wait.

So long as the gravity was earth normal or slightly more (to the point where we could actually stand upright and walk around), and assuming we somehow got settlers there and it was similar to earth... Then we'd be fine, those who lived their lives there would basically be forced to workout until they got used to the new gravity and then they'd be fine.

travelling there would take generations.
i'd imagine we'd have a ship which have artificial gravity, which would gradually increase over the course of the entire journey, letting people 'evolve' to adapt to it i suppose.

Obviously we will need slipspace drives.
