This game is amazing. Why does nobody I know have it?

Seriously, this is the best 3D Sonic game in years if not the best 3D Sonic game period. The level designs give me a giant nerd-gasm and there's an incredible lack of glitches. The sense of speed is unmatched by anything else I've ever played and there's a shitload of stuff to do.

Get this game people, I want to own all of you on the speedrun leaderboards.

It's the insanely heavy load of games this season. Gears 3, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3, RAGE, Battlefield 3, Skyward Sword, Skyrim, Arkham City, MW3, Assassain's Creed Revelations, Sonic Generations, Halo Anniversary Edition, Serious Sam 3, Saints Row 3, Deus Ex, etc. It's a real pain in the ass to find anyone who bought the same games as you did right now(unless you bought Skyrim, in which case the majority of the people out there bought it).

It's the best Sonic game I've played in years.

Classic Sonic is shit, but modern is a lot of fun. Genuinely great, even. Certainly the best Sonic platformer to come out since the Adventure games.

How is classic shit? I had a lot of fun with the classic levels. Yeah, the physics and controls aren't exactly like Genesis, but who cares? The level designs are awesome, jumping on enemies actually takes skill again, and the themes are great. What's not to like?

I will give you that the spindash is still way too fast and uncontrollable, not being able to roll into a ball at any time sucks, and the framerate is really bad. But those things are just minor nitpicks and not nearly enough to kill the whole mode for me.

Sonic runs 2x faster than he needs to be and his spindash might as well teleport him to the nearest wall. His jump is just a bit too short and has weird acceleration to it, so I always have to fight the controls to not under/overshoot a simple jump. There's absolutely nothing fun about playing classic Sonic, nor is there even anything 'classic' about it. It has far too much of an emphasis on speed, and its platforming bits feel token and forced. 2D modern Sonic controls and plays magnitudes better.

To each his own I guess, I don't have any trouble playing either.
