People of Modacity. If you can, please help me list as many creatures from famous movies. Monster I'm talking about include:
Vampires
Werewolves
Mummies
Zombies
Frankenstein
I'm trying to create a story and I need to know more than just these. Thanks!

Do you want classical monsters or something out of sci-fi.
I've always liked sci-fi's "hyper-parasites" (Zerg, Tyranids, The Flood, The Replicators).
Although not a classic "movie" monster, my favorite monster would have to be the Leviathan from old mythology.
EDIT: Although he isn't a "monster" so to say (he's a deity) this image of Ryujin from a rather skilled artist on deviant art, exemplifies my affinity for giant sea serpents.
Ryujin, Dragon God of Water and Sea.

Basically the classic movie monsters. Like the ones in Zombies ate my neighbors and some that you expect Van Helsing to battle. You know, Transylvania type of stuff...I can't remember the name of the sea amphibian humanoid creature...
Thanks Arteen.

I thought Underworld did a good representation of Werewolves. In recent years the only thing representing Vampires has been the fucking Twilight saga. The last movie that portrayed them really well (in my opinion) was 30 Days of Night.
Anime actually has a good way of representing Vampires (the ones I've seen at least). Displaying them as all powerful creatures never to be trifled with. (One was about a young boy accidentally transferred to a high school of monsters, where the girl he falls in love with is the most powerful vampire ever known, charming story convoluted with typical animu shenanigans. Can't remember its name. The other anime Vampire Knight is essentially Japanese Twilight, but has the decency to at least kill people and vampires in scenes of blood and super powers. It has a neat setting of having Pure Blood vampires that are RIDICULOUSLY powerful compared to everything else in the show.)
My favorite classical monster ARE vampires, which is why I hate Twilight so fucking much.

"polter(n)" means to make a racket and "geist" means ghost

There's various types of specters, your average ghost which most witnesses perceieve as images and then poltergeist which are usually unseen but act violently by throwing things, loud noises and such.
Technically it is a ghost but I'm making a distinction between casper and your un-average, un-friendly neighborhood psychopathic poltergeist.

Indeed.
Also pat, not all spirits are ghosts, Geist means spirit more than it does ghost.
poltergeist.
