Wait is that JUST a tech demo? I could see a decent (although semi-generic) storyline for a game stemming from that.
It was decent, though there's nothing really ground-breaking there in terms of what we've seen graphically before. What was the tech-demo supposed to be pointing out?

Pfft, so 2 weeks ago guys...:)

It was showing off the new game engine, video is from GDC. Its showcasing a new performance capture technology where it tracks both the face and body movements at the same time as recording actors voice. Makes it all smooth and natural.
Acting was top notch in my opinion.

That even with about six years of effort, the PS3 is still shit?

It was actually about the fluid animation on Kara, down to the subtle unconscious lip movements and all. It was not about textures, lighting, anti-alisasing, AI, or any of that fun stuff that keeps our attention away from the regression in gameplay design.

Oh, yes. How wonderful. I see that as a marvelous progression from the last tech demo Sony did along those lines during the PS3 release. I hear it made its way into games (you know, that thing the PS3 is supposed to do) and all.

I would rather see this as a film, full works and all including decent director, preferably the one who worked on this.

Yeah, rather see this as a film. There's no game idea defined by this video.

Hence why it is described as a Tech demo xP It would be cool to see as a game or movie though, I agree with Bod.

Playstation 3 plays games? What? Must have been a recent firmware patch.
