Anyone else intrested in seeing this new take on the series without Matt Damon?

I saw a commercial for it and had never seen any of the previous Bourne movies. So I watched them all yesterday and I was extremely impressed with them all.

But Legacy comes out August 10th and continues the story, so I am pretty interested in what it will have to offer.

So excited for this. I mean, Matt Damon is irreplaceable but this is also Jeremy Renner, so I can live with it.

Not sure how I feel about it. I'll wait on some reviews from people I know who like the previous movies before I go see it or rent it.

Saw this movie last night. It was okay, but didnt live up to the last 3:

The movie was really dragged out and there was way too much talking in some parts were it just got a bit boring. The action parts were pretty good, but there was only one large action sequence all at once, where as the previous Bourne movies have at least two and multiple other small fight scenes. The movie did an okay job at explaining somethings that happened after the Bourne Ultimatum, but was still lack luster since the information give was brief (for example, when the press talks to Pamela). Basically, the movie was good, but stretched out too long (2 hours, 15 mins) with not enough meat inside it, and too much fat.

I agree with Higuy. Addionally the ending seemed rushed and didn't really wrap anything up. I know there's probably going to be another movie since there was 5 books, but come on!

I liked everything that was on screen. That being said, the movie had no third act and just kind of ended. Cool action scenes? Sure. Jeremy Renner being cool? Sure. Brilliant movie? Probably not.

Spoilered for the sake of it, not really necessary.

It was just another average movie. Total Recall was better.

i really hope you aren't talking about that abortion of a remake

e: sorry sometimes i let the hyperbolic nature this forum get the better of me :ohdear:

the thread in the original film's plot regarding the alien tech grabbed me a lot more than the actual short story or the new movie and it was only marginally important to the characters or the plot

the reactor looked like something from a ridley scott film so :smith:

I've read the short story, which was very, very simple, none of the plot stuff in either movie, and I really liked the new movie, honestly moreso than the original. I know, throw a rock at me. But with the exception of the movie being almost constant action (not enough down time), it was well made, I loved the world in it, and it kept it more down to earth than going off to Mars. It wasn't a remake of the original, it was a new vision based off the story. With a tri-boob reference stuck in there lol.
