does any one know how can I host my dedicated server with 0 ping?
i have seen several servers in halo pc that everyone can join and play but the server shows 0 ping for all players.
does any one how can I make it happen on my server.
here is a snapshot of what i mean.

To be honest. Ive never seen that before. If we all had 0 ping there'd be no leading or any of that bullshit.

I asked an admin about this when I first saw it (years ago), and IIRC he said they're using a server app to hide pings on purpose but I forget the reason. He might have said it was to stop people from complaining about their ping.

Whatever the case, I don't really think the novelty of 0 ping is worth the effort. You're not actually getting 0 ping, and I would personally rather see my ping than not.

I'm sure it's to stop people with bots from knowing the auto-lead.

I don't see any useful reason for this. At all.

There is no such thing as a "zero" latency. It just won't happen. This is just a number hack. It's just hiding the real ping value.

A "perfect" latency-dependent aimbot wouldn't benefit from the game's ping either. The ping the game reports is wrong anyway. Since the only ping that matters is between you and the server (none of the other players are relevant), if you want it done right, you would find out the real latency between the client and the server.

Whoever is hosting this server is probably just hiding it avoid complaints from people about their shitty ass pings on a shitty ass server.

yeah thats exactly what i want to do.
i want my server to show fake 0 ping or any ping i choose to all the players that join my server
i want this so no one in my server complains about other players halo 33 ping or calling them pinger upon being killed by them. this causes alot of tenstion between players due to one having severely low ping and other having high ping. then they start arguing and i have to ban them.

so can anyone tell me the name of the app that an show fake ping or tell me the method.

You have the completely wrong mindset. You'd rather have a laggy server, but make sure no one knows whos lagging so it doesnt get complained about in the chat?

You know when people filter servers by ping, does that mean this hack would show a low/0 ping to that user, tricking them into joining?

I always quit those servers that don't show my ping. No way to tell if the connection to the server is stable nor the distance of what I must lead.

My game server is located in new York most people playing in my server gets ping from 33-133 min but sometimes you get a player who's playing from the corner of the earth whose ping is from 167-500 max that starts to warp all the players and lags. This screws up lead and eventually people start to leave the server and sometimes it lags out all the players with network connection lost

What I am trying to say is that I just want to run this application to hide the ping of player playing in my server so they don't complain about getting killed from a player with very low ping.

Just to answer your question, I don't know of such an app. :/
I do know this sometimes happened as a bug with servers that were running for a long time and it would not show ping until a server reset occurred.
Hope you find someone that does know the answer, after all, it's your server you can customize it the way you want.

In all the years I played Halo, I can't say I ever remember people complaining about pings all that much. Mostly it was aimbots they whined about.

Nebula no you cant do that -____________-

The reason its showing 0 there is because its glitching/lagging and cant display the ping correctly.
I play on my own network and still do not get 0 ping I get about 2. But in halo it displays 33.

also even with Zero ping Halo PC will always have lead its the game not the network. When I play on my servers which are hosting Literally right next to me. I still have to lead.

Um... no, if you actually have zero ping you don't have to lead at all. Try hosting a listen server to see what I mean. It's not possible to have zero ping to a dedicated server though.
