because i basically literally own nothing except my pc, and i want to get into Case modding and whatnot, i figured, a good fucking start would be to get some decent fucking tools.

tools gotta go in some shit, and i know a bunch of you are enjoying the more manly parts of arts 'n crafts on a regular basis, so i figured a few of you must have some nice fucking toolboxes to go with it.

I'm looking mainly for something that can hold a heap of shit, is sturdy as fuck, and still portable (i can pick it up without the whole fucking thing falling apart)

cheaper is better, but at the same time, i figure a good fucking toolbox and a good set of tools will last a damn lifetime, and is worth splurging on.
i'm considering a plain ol' Stanley toolbox, and then upgrading to the weird trolley-type thing later if i end up getting a heap of powertools.
which probably won't be soon. i'm getting me a Dremel and some regular old tools, screwdrivers and wahtnot to get me up and running, and i guess i can work my way down the tool-alley when i end up needing new shit.

also, I'm taking suggestions into what kind of tools i should totally get first.
considering I'm trying to do some casemodding here, i doubt i'll be needing chisels anytime soon for example.

protip: i have an IKEA toolset -.-

your tool box is irrelevant, it's all aout layout and ease of use. Find something where each compartments easy to get into to, Then line everything with foam and cut out sections for each of your tools. i guarantee that you wont loose things if you do this because every tool will have it's own unique place.

Not even kidding, these are the ones I have. Classic.

I also have a tall set of Craftsman tool drawers.

E: As for tools:

Rotary tool with all of the various bits and wheels (drill bits, cutting wheels, grinding drums, polishing wheels etc.)
Files
Metric Hex keys (you might need Imperial/Standard, but I doubt it)
Metric wrenches
Fine-point screwdrivers
Clamps
Level
Plastic epoxy
Cold weld epoxy
Steel wool
Sand paper

I keep three tool "boxes" in my jeep at all times.

1.) 125pc? Craftsman socket and wrench set in a standard moulded case (If you don't have one of these in your car you deserve whatever happens to you on the road)
2.) heavy duty tool bag for large wrenches and other awkward tools like channel locks and test meters (it has pockets and a handle making it my go-to tool carrier)
3.) 5gal bucket for hammers, crowbars, breaker bars, funnels, saws, rags, and anything too filthy for the tool bag. liners that electricians use make buckets super handy

I keep a separate clean tool bag for power tools + accessories and other tools I use indoors a lot.

I really don't like standard tool boxes. Mine have always been really cluttered and the hinges and clips wear out way to fast for me. They're not versatile in use and usually not big enough to keep an all around tool kit while still being easy to carry.

My tool "box" of choice:

Hole saws are great for adding fans to cases:

Drill press recommender, but a hand drill will do.

yeah i can't really get any type of tool that demands to be somehow fixed in place.

liek i would love to have a band saw or whatever, but that's just straight up incompatible with my lifestyle, since i move around a lot heh.
