Err, wrong way mate, it's about 200 quid given the current £ for $ conversion rate which is hovering around 1.9 mark.

Why is it every time you post in a thread about something coming onto the market you complain about the price in your country?Well why would i complain about a price in another country that I wouldnt be paying?
Why cant I bitch about the price?
Also snave, we dont just get a total conversion. THATS why annoys me, Outside US, we pay more for no reason. Okay shipping costs but it doesnt cost that much.

GeForce 2 doesn't do shit, just like all of nVidia's other cards, the only ones worth buying are the 7600gt, maybe7900 GS(price/performance ratio), 7950gt, 8800gts, and 8800gtx. ATi has always had the upper hand with image quality but nVidia focused mostly on performance. Well that advantage is now gone with the 8800 out there.
Nice math, but where is the 750 coming from?
$750 is the price for a GeForce 8800 GTX. Proof: http://www.businessvision.net/edge/Main.asp?D=%7B199BD439%2D3D04%2D4C98%2D87CF%2DC8F7 4F87C478%7D&PageType=Product&SKU=876758001183&CategoryID=788669&DisplayMode=Category&PageNumber=1 (http://www.businessvision.net/edge/Main.asp?D=%7B199BD439%2D3D04%2D4C98%2D87CF%2DC8F7 4F87C478%7D&PageType=Product&SKU=876758001183&CategoryID=788669&DisplayMode=Category&PageNumber=1)
BTW these are Canadian Prices so the $400 would be $500 here.

Perhaps they can match Nvida in performance now, but Nvida has had equivolent cards out for a decent amount of time now. If ATi can get a few more cards out, and match Nvida's current stock available, perhaps they can catch up, but Nvida had the lead right now.

I don't think you understood what i was saying. I said that ATi had better image quality, I didn't say that they had worse performance. Hell, they even had better performance than nVidia with the GeForce 7900GTX vs. X1900XTX(one loud bitch).
I want to see if there will be a HD 2900 PRO that doesn't cost a lot and doesn't draw too much power, similar to the X1950 Pro that I'm running right now.

The card does well for$400. Right now it's benchmarks are all over the place, which could mean a number of things. Right now it looks like the drivers are not ready. It works much better at really high resolutions and doesn't scale as well at lower resolutions. In terms of features, the card is loaded. Sound via HDMI is cool and the hardware tessellation unit is promising. Also the card performs awesome in shader-heavy games, which is a good sign for the future considering DirectX 10's approach. However, considering I have seen the 320 meg 8800 GTS at $250 and the 640 meg at $320, the GTS is still a better value for now. Im sure NV will try and dump prices further in order to get more sales
People seem to think that this part is the highest highest end -- save that for the HD2900 XTX. Considering I just put a computer with an 8800 GTS in it together for someone I think you can call me unbiased =P.
