before we start seeing threads about Halo 4 on PC, its best to take a look at this.

Mother fuckers. They hate the PC community.

I also posted this in the Halo 4 thread.

the pc community generally hates microsoft too.

gfwl etc.
i expect the whole games on linux will become a thing, and i'm fully supporting it.

the more people are on linux, the more compatibility will come from it.

are you really surprised that halo 4 isnt on pc? i mean, im with you entirely that its bullshit, but this isnt anything new. even if they did port it to windows, it would be on GFWL, so i dont think half of us would buy it anyway for that reason alone.

not really looking forward to adjusting to a different OS with linux, but ill gladly do it for the sake of pc gaming. shit will probably run a lot better without all of windows' background crap too.

Didn't think we needed a thread for this. I don't think anyone is naive enough to believe that Microsoft is going to start publishing proper PC games again any time soon.

This wouldn't of been a proper PC game even if Microsft did allow a PC release to happen.

Star Citizen (http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen/?rid=28463) is a proper PC game.

Only way they're going to get games the w8 store is to make them themselves. PC game devs like to do things like patching without having to submit their code again.

Why is this a newsflash? The same thing is said about every game that is ever released on any console before a PC announcement has been made.

I'm not saying that Halo 4 will come to PC, but a canned "we have no plans at this time" response should be taken with a grain of salt.

All I know is that I remember hearing 343 saying that HCEA and H4 could both easily be ported onto the PC. HCEA used the Halo PC code, and I don't know about Halo 4. I also remember reading people arguing on the H4 topic if the game was coming to pc or not. Microsoft has a fucked up way of publishing. My guess is, if any halo game gets ported it'll be HCEA, maybe along with reach. And of course it'd be for windows 8. Halo 3 is about 5 years overdue, so I don't really see that happening, but in another way, PC users still need to finish the fight. In my eyes, HCEA would make the most sense.

Don't be daft. Halo 3, ODST, Reach, Halo 4, etc. Won't make it to PC. Halo 2 came to PC less than three years after it was released for xbox. Over 5 years later and not even Halo 3 has been announced for PC. I think it's extremely safe to say we won't see any of these games on PC.

H2V was such a great success they should continue their business model!
