I've been working on a lot of crazy stuff for this game lately. I'm soon gonna be developing some single player maps, that I need help with, for doing it on my own will take far to long. I need some concept artists, bsp modelers, etc. Posted this on Halomaps aswell.

This is a project revolving around a small-new single player experience with the Halo CE engine and Open Sauce developed by Kornman00. The campaign will consist of 3-4 new levels. You will not play as masterchief. The setting of any urban maps will take place on Harvest.

I have worked a shitload of new bipeds, some with new animations. The skin on the marines is one I made for a POA uniform. However I may just covert reach marines. I've worked on many new pieces of geometry, rescripted and repopulated the entire b30 exterior. The mod will be very colorful, as you can see. All weapons have new Particles that I worked in myself.
The weapon and vehicle set will remain very basic, nothing complicated making the feel of clutter. I'm not trying to jam as much tags into a map as I possibly can.
I am almost done with my tagset that I have been developing for almost a year now, using high quality content from other halo games, combined with custom content aswell. (I simply do not have enough time to develop a a million custom assets myself).
Anyway, i'll leave a few things here to draw some intrest.
When the project is done I will release ALL HD tags to the public. This tagset includes a COMPLETE HD Halo 1 tagset(a few modifications here and there, but it's easy to change them back, mainly vehicle regions and such). I may include an HD MP map aswell if I feel like it. Anyway, when you are able to get your hands on the tags, it's a simple click and drag to your tags folder. Everything is nice and organized, and easy to navigate through.

I can voice act for elites and grunts ( I voice the elite above). I will probably voice a main character aswell.
So expect A lot of new dialog. Characters have also been re-animated in many ways, for more variation.

I forgot to add the golden hog has a "radio" type function. That is one of the songs, i tried to pick an upbeat-set that would be funny to hear while driving and killing people on halo;)

DAT DMR. Also, the Halo 3 skins look great. Marines are cool and MC lookin' bauss. I feel like the FoV on the warthog was off, though, and that it was moving way too fast. Also, turn down the HDR a bit so we're not blinded by bloom effects. Looks great so far, but why are the Elites speaking Ennglish? It seems so out of place.

Yeah I was a little confused by the need to re-voice the Elites.. I suppose if everything's being revamped it's necessary but it's something I feel doesn't matter especially when you can't understand them :P

The bloom is set way to high, please tone it down. Otherwise looks nice for what it is, I'd hope you'd be moving onto an actual custom level then then just another remake of b30.

Why do people bother commenting without reading the first post at all? Good to see this forum still has some ignorant people around. B30 is not planned for any release. Its just a little test-visual map I made for tags. Hens the thread title.

I had the elites speaking english because at the time I wanted to do something with them, but I changed my mind. That video was from 4 months ago anyway.

CMT is still doing SPV3 and TSC:Evolved. The H2SPP is a separate project and team that just uses CMT tags.

I actually read the first post. Your first is very vauge and does not give much project details other then some minor things you want for help in terms of tags. When it came to levels the only thing you said was "bsp modelers" and "HD MP map". If its going to be a single player project howabout give some insight into the actual level that you wish to make instead of just showing off some pictures that all use pre existing Halo 1 geometry.

It is not vague at all, I'd rather keep details for people who want to get involved. I have recieved some PM's about it on this site, and halomaps. It's clear I need no help with tags, clearly. Unless you're not old enough to read.

Once all these damn tags are finish, I have a longg road ahead of me in photoshop/max with BSP layouts, and gameplay tests.
Single player is what I'm looking at, ATM, I've spent long days trying to plan out a series of missions that are pretty simple-tasked, yet well executed.
I already started on a New Mombasa type BSP, that is taking a lot of inspiration from Halo ODST and Reach. I also have started going over some other missions that would take place after that, that would make you feel lost and alone in a huge world, and with some marine presence of course.

I know you have Xfire.
I agree with Masterz, the bloom looks nice, but it does need to be tweaked down a bit. For some objects, like the cruiser in the sky, it just looks really bad, but for others such as the Warthog it looks great. I needs to be toned down though because I can SEE the Bloom itself.

It's just that I see it as a poor first impression, for example with many good projects and even professional projects, authors wait until they actually have something decent that would be considered part of the actual game to show off, like levels and encounters. Just showing some converted tags using open suace thrown into a pre existing map dosent say a whole lot compared to showing those off along with actual new bsp geometry and encounters. We both know you are completely capable of doing so.

Well I apologize from any poor example of representation. I will edit the OP. People who are interested have been PMing me for details. I have concepts of New Mombasa/New Alexandria styled BSPs. I figured I'd spend a shitload of time on tags, and then knock everything else out with a team, without dealing with bugs or anything of that nature. I have never started any kind of team before so, maybe I was a little wrong on drawing in people with just visuals.

Yeah, it was much better. However, the bloom still needs considerable tweeks. I can definitely still see it without trying and it gets annoying quite a bit. But you said you know this, so I'm glad you're on the right track. This stuff look really cool. I'll let you know if I can do anything for you once I get back into this stuff soon.

So he actually showed some content that he wants to put into custom maps that don't exist yet, he has expressed he doesn't have the time to do it all himself! This was an effort to gather attention to a potentially promising project. It may be vague but he explained it's a project to really show off the capabilities of Open Sauce. So perhaps you could take an open mind to the idea that the maps have no real guidelines or rules - instead of moaning at him for leaving those ideas open to others.
it's far better than people that come to the site starting up projects with nothing to show for it - whether or not it's converted content, he's using capabilities of open sauce to do it which is the foundations of the project as well as presenting HD content on the old engine.

It's the same kind of mindset you have, like with your H2 SP project. You show off some really bad looking pictures very early in development, and not even close to representing the final product. In Killa's case the stuff he's showing looks pretty good but when he wants to make a custom sp level he could have waited to give off a good first impression with his tags and the actual maps themselves. Killa has been in this community for a long time, I'm sure he could have contacted people directly on xfire/steam/aim whatever to find people that could be interested and recruit them that way. Personally I find it very rewarding after a long time in secrecy with a team to be finally able to show off something good and as a good example of what the final product will be.

Don't know if you've been to Halomaps in the last, like, year or so, but basically all the people over there have been using open sauce and converted tags. It's nothing very new.

These pictures weren't really used to show off converted tags, though they are mentioned so people know that everything will be 4x better looking. They were to show off what I could make a BSP look like with OS. Which no one has done there. Never have I once shown off a "ripped" tag and be like "ohhh guys look what i hazz". Never. I'm trying to make sure everyone knows that I am fully capable with making something fun, awesome and beautiful. However I do not have the time to sit on my computer and develop BSP's myself. Especially one's that need to be planned out, and modeled with a shitload of polygons. I have a GF I have been with for 3 years, I'm taking college tests and I need to find a job. The only time's I'm able to work is after 10pm at night. With my history I assumed everyone knew what I was capable of doing. If I can get a team going, start planning and developing BSP, it'd make the whole process a lot quicker. I'd also like to talk over with some people about the story. It's not like something like lumoria where I could develop a Halo classic BSP, and put in all of Halo's original tags. If it was, I wouldn't be looking for people. I'm not looking to re-use geometry and textures from other maps. Personally, after a year of making new tags and developing all new geometry for scenery and whatnot, I'd think people would be interested. And apparently they are.

Been getting a lot done lately.
-Completely re-worked all alien characters. (it doesn't feel like fighting reskinned h1 guys now!)
-Will most likely replace all reach weapons with Halo 3, due to poly issues atm. (A gun in halo reach can be up to 15k)
-Made a few cinematic animations in max
-Made a rough version of Richards
-Made a shitton of new scenery.

It's all WIP but, it's gettin there.

Modacity always gets the extra pic, this is a room later in the BSP from the first picture of level 3. No BSP content is textured as of right now however. The room is also subject to total discarding of the style, (layout will remain the same), if it does not blend with the rest of the BSP like I plan.

Proper Lip movement (for cinematics), aside for my amazing rigging skills showing here, this mesh and animation is ready to be imported into Halo. The animation was created using Halo's node base system along with extra attention phoneme and facial movement. This part was kind of difficult but I found a way to produce efficient results as shown below.
