My father was looking to get a touch screen tablet for his job, his job entails being on the road a lot within the city. He would like something that's at least 10" in screen size and has 4G/LTE capability so that he can access the Internet anywhere he is (yes we have LTE coverage here). It needs to run Windows 8 Pro, as he has a bunch of programs that he needs to run on it for work that don't have Windows RT alternatives.
Having a decent camera and close to 100GB of storage would also be preferred. Having a USB port to download photos from a camera is also a requirement.
Suggestions?

The only one with built-in LTE that I know of is the Samsung ATIV Tab Smart PC Pro, and it's a rather lack-lustre device. Lenovo is offering the best crop of tablets and Windows 8 hardware in general this generation.

I suppose 3G would be alright, but I was hoping to recommend one with LTE capabilities in order to future-proof a bit.

If you need it to be an x86 machine, why not just get a USB stick that can connect to LTE and plug that into the USB port of any x86 Windows tablet? There are some types that can "swivel" so the stick can be positioned perpendicular to the tablet instead of jutting past the length, if that is a concern.

But that's just it. That's also the only Windows 8 x86-64 tablet that I know of that has any sort of built-in cellular connectivity.

What the fuck? What is the point of these things then? If that's the case then they're just useless screens.
Although a LTE dongle would probably be satisfactory as well. With that in mind, what would you recommend?

You have to keep in mind that Windows 8 tablets are still relatively new and so is 4G LTE. There's only so many options really. I'm sure in the next few months we'll have better tablets.
As of right now, the best Windows 8 Tablet would be the Surface Pro but that has no data connection at all. Otherwise, you're stuck with what Warsaw recommended: the Samsung ATIV Tab Smart PC Pro super-long-name-tablet.
I would look deeply into it's specs though before you decide on it. Does your dad have anything against a simple laptop though?

I was hoping to avoid that since I don't feel like teaching my dad how to use iOS. At least with Windows 8 Pro I can just show him how to click the Desktop tile and how to get back to not-metro to launch other apps. Should be easier I think.

You don't really have to teach someone how to use iOS...it's ridiculously simple.

There are plenty of excellent Windows 7 tablets like the Asus EEE Slate. You just have to install windows 8 to really take advantage of the touch.
I'd recommend going with a USB LTE dongle because that expands your tabletoptions more than tenfold. It's hard to find any x86 device with built-in cellular connectivity.

Have fun giving him a tablet with no apps. iPad is the way to go these days.

Bro, I'm buying a Windows 8 Pro capable tablet. Meaning that it's x86 and can run anything a PC can run. Not to mention all of the programs he uses for work are web based applications that you just access through your browser.

Battery life is dick with the EEE Slate and it's also two generations old internally.
Freelancer, have you looked at the IdeaPad Yoga? It's a laptop that comes in 11 and 13-inch varieties, but the screen bends all the way around so that it basically becomes a tablet. Short of spending up for the Helix, that's probably the device I'd spring for.
It might help if you give a budget range to work with, because Win 8 Pro devices are all over the spectrum without much else to define them.

$500 - $800 ideally.
