I would like to know how to monitor chat for bad words, etc. on Dedi server.:cop:

I don't think any of the current server mods allow for that. Granted, you check the server logs but I'm assuming your intentions are to censor/kick/ban automatically.

If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. It's a little white line of scrolling text that's there for less than 10 seconds.

halo 1 pc wasnt rated M for langauge. not that kind of language anyway. now you wanna see funny? bad word filters in bad company 2. THATS a game rated M for language. the characters drop an f bomb every 3 seconds in that game, yet nearly every server finds it important to filter curses. even words like "damn". some of them even ban for language.

sorry i cant be more help in how youd actually filter the chat. all i can say is that its probably not worth your time to implement something like that, especially when your system might auto flag someone for saying something good natured, like "god damn, lol".

game ratings never reflect the uncontrollable aspects of multiplayer, only the controlled aspects of the game. Freedom of speech, why would a game restrict that? it seems illogical?
