Well, Konami has finally revealed the name of the the next Metal Gear Solid game. The funny thing is that last year, they had named the game Ground Zeroes to go with this amazing gameplay trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ltH1eWxZutE). However, a bit later, a game showed up at the Spike video game awards called the Phantom Pain. Everyone knew it was a MGS related thing, but we thought it was just an elaborate ruse to generate hype to Ground Zeroes. Heh, looks like the ruse is an actual game.
To clear up this confusion: MGSV is episodic. Ground Zeroes is the prologue and The Phantom Pain takes place after it. There is going to be a third game to finish it off, but that hasn't been discussed yet.
As you can see here, there is a mash up of Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain footage a long with some extra scenes.

Both games are confirmed for PS3 and XBOX 360. No word on next-gen consoles, but it's expected to launch on both. No word on a PC version either, despite all their trailers running on a PC. I'd expect a PC version to be announced at the same time as next-gen console versions if they were to be released at all.
