I have a big issue with my phone, which seems kind of funny: I cannot find a driver for it in order to connect it to my PC.

Clean Windows 7 install and still not working. I tried using some other workarounds (http://www.vivid-abstractions.net/how-to/how-to-fix-windows-phone-8-driver-not-found/) which only worked a couple of times.

So does anyone here own a Windows 8 Phone and connects it to Windows 7 and could share some information?
The Hardware ID is
USB\VID_045E&PID_F0CA&REV_0100&MI_01
USB\VID_045E&PID_F0CA&REV_0100

and I would like to know, what driver is being used? I know that the MTP protocol is used but it seems that no driver has those hardware IDs registered.

Lumia 920 user here. When I first got my phone and connected it to Win7 64 it only showed up as 'USB Device' under 'computer'. My phone also had 2 drivers to install when I first plugged it in but I don't recall either of them installing correctly (Windows said the device was not installed), it still worked as a USB device though so IDGAF.

On the other hand... I installed W8 Pro 64 recently and when I plugged it into there for the first time it did a whole mess of syncing. Didn't care much to look into what it was doing (other than feeding MS all my private data) but the next time I used W7 my phone installed as "Lumia 920" out of nowhere and I had the Windows Phone 8 manager application installed.

I'm not sure anything here will help you, but it might give you more insight, or something.
