Love this shit. Anything that deals with what the common German soldier or citizen was dealing with during the war, I eat it up. It still astounds me how many people I know actually believe that most German soldiers were Nazis when they were just regular people who were drafted. Sure, there must have been a number of people swayed to the Nazi ideology, but from what I've read, listened, and watched, that was not the overwhelming view of the German majority. Of course, that's not to say that they didn't do some crazy shit, but that desensitized mentality that war gives them probably caused these people to do things that they may not otherwise have done.
