a while ago i decided to start messing around with a from scratch remake of rats nest. my plan is to recreate the map to as close as possible to the real thing sans dual wielding. but so far things aren't going along as fast as i would like. sometimes life gets in the way...

anyways i will be posting updates as well as news regarding the state of the project.

i need reference images. anyone who is willing to get me some references from key areas of the map would be greatly appreciated. (not from google images as i have already exhausted that resource)

when the time comes i will also need someone who can help texture this properly.

(WARNING): THIS MAP WILL REQUIRE OPENSAUCE

Just out of curiosity, what here is ripped and what isn't? That video looks incredibly similar to Halo 3. For the first time in a long time I was having a hard time discerning between CE and H3.

almost every asset besides the foundry map (made by jesse and dsalimander) is ripped.the weapons and biped animations are ripped directly from halo 3 by zteam. the shaders were done by me, and the biped model was done by jesse with some edits from me to include all the backpack weapons. i will be going over the entire halo 3 tagset like this so that i can make this the most accurate representation of halo 3 yet. the plan is to include vehicle boarding, fp legs (if a less buggy alternative is available), dual wielding (now sort of possible thanks to opensauce), destructible vehicles (not as cool without havok physics but oh well...) and many other assorted things.

neat stuff, I like it, it is ripped but I love halo 3 so its all good.

i added more stuff to the OP. progress is slow but steady, i just need reference images for the interior rooms.
