For the extremely low, budget price of 3 grand!

You have to pay to play in this kind of high-end territory with an MSRP that sits at $2,999. Expect to see custom cooled models going for even more.

Maybe this can actually max out Watch Dogs

At what resolution? A GTX 780 (not the ti even) should be able to do it fine at 1080p.
One of my TITANs runs it flawlessly in 1080p. Have yet to try higher resolution yet.

I saw a review that said even the beefiest of rigs couldn't run it 1080p maxed out at a reasonable frame rate. I haven't played it personally.

Lies, I just played a bunch of it at 2560x1440(p) max graphics options and it was above 60 FPS the entire time. This was SLI TITANs mind you.
I tried 4k UHD 3840x2160(p) as well, but it dips to about 30-40 FPS. Gonna have to get that 3rd TITAN.

For AMD builds yes. Nvidia not as much.

I'm hearing the exact opposite. A couple guys on another forum are saying they can max this game out on high end (but not top of the line) AMD cards, but are getting no luck whatsoever on the Nvidia side of things.
Idk though, I was just making a joke, whose humor is apparently as inconsistent as the performance of this game across various rigs.

Ubisoft doesn't know that the word "optimization" exists, let alone what it means.

It is painful to read reviews that a card that can run most games at 2560x1600 or similar res on all ultra at least 60+ fps, has issues running a new game at the same resolution, with marginal technology improvements.

NVIDIA, of course, has made some counter-arguments -- like devs get source code access upon request so they can fix it for AMD if they like (even though that apparently started in April, which was probably too late in Watch Dog's dev cycle to matter). Officially, the game is supposedly more unoptimized on AMD.

Except it's not really a secret that Ubisoft and Nvidia have hardons for each other.

And that nvidia is highly anticompetitive? It's the Microsoft of the gpu world.

Do you even understand what anti-competitive means?
I think you mean monopolistic.

When you only have one other real competitor I don't see why you wouldn't try and be competitive and molopolistic though.
Getting back on topic, I was considering selling my TITANs for one of these when I first heard rumors about it. Unfortunately, since it's a dual GPU card that performs worse than two single TITAN Blacks, and the price is worth three TITAN Blacks.... Welp... Literally no point to this card for gaming, it's a workstation card TBH.

Well, right now I'd be selling at $700~.

Is that USD or CAD? Either way, $700 is hella cheaps for the card, and it's hard finding one for less.

I see them go for that in USD on ebay fairly often. That's what I was willing to pay for my third as well. Still need to get on that... Can't play Watch_Doges at 4K UHD with 60+ FPS right now. :(

You know, i'm surprised you take price into consideration when you're considering computer parts! :D

You'd be surprised how little discount there is working in this industry. The prices you see at NewEgg / TigerDirect / etc are basically cost + 5-10%...
