It talked about musical takedowns, licenses, and even music that's in the background!

Reddit's been furious over the issue, and right now the ama is turning into quite the rodeo:

Also much stuff is being said that the user base is actively calling for a switch to a new competitor such as hitbox.tv or another one.

It's been great watching this whole episode come forward with. Bowl of popcorn!

Yeah, the Rocksmith twitch has most of its videos muted it seems due to twitch being a content bitch. With the google buyout, I bet more google account nonsense will follow as well. But I hope instead the population at twitch causes a shift to another competitor, leaving google with a worthless sack of shit.

Yeah, I've been trying to distance myself from google products, but each time they come out with a compelling product to try >_>. (I got in on the Google Domains beta, let's see how that goes)

There's been that mass exodus to hitbox.tv, whose servers were essentially getting raped the past few days. I managed to sign up today, as well, it seems, as a large number of other users. check it out. http://www.hitbox.tv/

Lets get mad at shitty handling of VoDs at a streaming site.
Likewise, get mad at shitty handling of streams at a VoD site.
Twitch doesn't want to hold onto saved video and only offers it as a bonus.

The thing you should really get mad about is the various industries not caring about DMCA legitimacy and just aggressively attacking services that can theoretically allow infringement.

Thing is, there's no evidence of any company issuing a DMCA takedown notice for a stream or for the site. There's no news of a suit against twitch or anything.

My problem is that they instantly slapped the users with this stuff. SURPRISE! Your videos are muted thirty minutes at a time! No warning email. No way to certify that you have a license to play the music publicly (spotify business, pandora one) and even more.

That, aaaand, it mutes games for in-game music (?????) and BACKGROUND SOUNDS! ???? I mean, come on. Necrodancer games were muted because of the music- how did the music get into their database anyway? (The devs for the game were even consulting their lawyers concerning this)
