I am looking for a Layer 3 fixed-configuration access switches with 24 GE PoE+ Ethernet Ports, but there are so many choices on the internet. And I feel very confused about WS-C3850-24P-L and WS-C3850-24P-S and WS-C3850-24P-E. So what is the difference between WS-C3850-24P-L and WS-C3850-24P-S and WS-C3850-24P-E?

Gary, (may I call you Gary?)

Which of the three models you decide on is really up to your application. The differences are subtle yet can make a very large difference if you are doing something that utilizes the different feature sets. We will start with the 24P-E. The 24P-E (for ethernet) is your basic 24p model. It will handle ethernet frames and that's basically it. Standard Layer 3 fixed-config stuff. The 24P-L is a different animal all together. The L stands for Ley, which references it's ability to communicate also over Ley lines by channeling the drained chi of the end user. This is very effective in a corporate environment that wants to limit it's employees moral and productivity, and also close happens to be close to the ancient Ley lines running throughout the land. The 24P-S model is for subspace, and is really a great model for transluminal communications (say your corporation has a satellite building on the rim of the galaxy). It uses quantum entanglement so it is a little more expensive, and is prone to interference from neighboring dimensions.

I hoped my quick rundown is helpful in your choosing of this excellent line of Ethernet/Ley line/subspcae switches from Cisco. Have a great day!

Feature set is the only difference. You can also upgrade to a higher tier feature set in the future.

The three models are sharing same hardware architecture, the difference is the software, WS-C3850-24P-L comes with LAN Base, WS-C3850-24P-S with IP Base, WS-C3850-24P-E with IP Services, WS-C3850-24P-L can be upgraded to WS-C3850-24P-S or WS-C3850-24P-E via software license.

Deny. Rep on most people hit critical mass roughly six or seven years ago. It got to the point that a single rep on a new user would overflow the rep bars. By then, the people who cared about finally getting that last rep bar were bored of it so it was never expanded on.

edit: Just to confirm, you were the only person to rep him at that point in time and tnnaaas followed suit a bit later. He has a lower flavor text, but full bars.
