Step 1 – Connect your wired or wireless 360 controller (with wireless adapter sold separately)
Step 2 – Connect mic attachment to your 360 controller
Step 3 – Under Sound properties (in the control panel) set your speakers as the default playback device and have the Headset Microphone as the default recording device

Step 4 – In Voice settings (Personal Settings from the Guide menu) make sure that the headset is chosen for both the Voice Playback and Recording Device

That should be it for having only voice through the headset and the game sound from the speakers
*All drivers should be included with Vista
